If he connected with the tase and took the cop down he could come back and grab his weapon.

They didn't hunt him,but when he resisted,they lost control and murdered him in cold blood.

My point was a cop shooting in the back doesn't mean its not justified. My example proves it.

Look back at the Freddie Grey cases in Baltimore. The DA, an equally idiotic, politically motivated whack job, threw all sorts of charges on nine police officers. After the first three were acquitted / found not guilty on all of their charges and their cases laughed out of court, the rest got quietly dropped and they never even went to court. Her (the DA) political career was in tatters afterwards for her inept handling of the case.

It's likely the Atlanta DA will end up similarly destroyed by his decision to do the politically expedient rather than what was fair and just.

That's because its all political. They know the cops aren't getting charged for doing their jobs.
