Florida book bans - the first step before burning

You misquoted me without changing the my name, Walter.

I quoted Earl exactly. Removing part of the quote is acceptable under the rules.

Early needs to grow up, and realize he lost. We are getting far beyond the point he can apologize.

So I can remove text, like I have been doing. I guess that makes you WRONG.

I can split it up.

Well, I just removed part of your post again, and by doing so showed the part of the rules that allowed me to do so. I think you should fill the moderator with complaints about me following the rules.
You're welcome....;)

You misquoted me and did not change my name, Walter...a violation of the TOS of JPP.

Poor Walter.

Speaking of apologies, I look forward to yours in the near future...;)

Hell will freeze over before he gets one from me for his misquoting me without changing my name.
You don't owe him an apology...He...and many others here...most certainly owe me one, however...
Let me know when he decides what is acceptable proof...from you...of my teaching...;) Perhaps he'll post it here...

Everyone should note that Republicans are desperate to change the subject from their party's descent into fascism.

I have moved past wondering if Toxic Top has ever been a teacher, she has not, and on to wondering if she has ever had a job. She says that a good teacher would continue teaching through the Holocaust, and any that fled due to the Holocaust were showing some sort of personal failure. She is not tolerant of teachers who cannot afford to teach, and seems to think that they should be willing to do anything for any amount of money.

And she is surprised to hear that schools try to keep teachers for the entire year.

And there you go. It's amazing how much ignorance of education she reveals with each and every post -- as well as her own lack of it.

I see your mere presence on this thread has severely triggered pEarl. If you'd be so kind to fetch the smelling salts, I'll help him over to the swooning couch. Let me get my PPE first though. Whatever he's got looks contagious.

Walter has left the building without admitting that he lied about TOP not being a teacher.

Poor, poor, poor Walter.

My, aren't we triggered today, pEarl. I know Toxic's real name. She is not a teacher. But you don't have to know her real name; just look at her posts. No college-educated professional writes like a mean little fifth-grader. She is also quite clueless about the educational world.

In inverse proportion. Far and away, those who screech 'freedom!' are against all taxation. TEA party was a movement against taxes. And black legislators.

Bingo. As soon as someone mentions that word in relation to a discussion on taxation, we all know what it means. Some ppl want nice things like highways, schools, first responders, libraries, etc. -- but they don't want to pay for them.

That is a violation of the rule, however.....you altered the quote...

Be sure and weeport that, dear. :rofl2:

Yes, indeed. Much easier to spasm out about quotes and some deranged old bimbo pretending to a career she didn't have, than to address the fact that FL is making moves to restrict access to unapproved-by-the-government books.

Few Republicans, and certainly few Trump Republicans, ever read books so they aren't uncomfortable with the idea of burning them.

Yes. Because many argue that the private sector can do it better. Of course, that is a lie. The private sector won't do anything that doesn't turn a profit. In essence, the govt. is designed to be a loss leader. It provides necessary services that otherwise would not be available.

A quick study of the Erie Canal illustrates this perfectly
