That's only because you're skewing the death rates from NY and NJ...those states saw the most deaths in the first two months of the pandemic, whereas almost every other state saw their deaths consistently spread out over the year.
After May 1st, and after each state's measures were in place, NY and NJ had the LOWEST death and LOWEST new case rate all the way up through Thanksgiving.
So if you're going to bullshit, at least have the common sense to know what you're bullshitting about, so someone doesn't come along and call out your bullshit, humiliating you on your own stupid board.

It is people from all over the country who simply don't want to pay attention to mask and distancing requirements. So they go to Florida where they believe they will have no rules to abide by.

Florida's Gov DeSantis has done a terrible job:
"Mar. 24—Florida's spring break debacle — rowdy COVID super-spreader crowds at beaches around the state, at some spots with violence thrown in for special effect — is the perfect showcase for what ails the state's governor: recurring poor judgment.
On March 5, Gov. Ron DeSantis' State of the State Address was a self-back-patting ode to the virtues of having an open state during a deadly, worldwide pandemic.
"We have long been known as the Sunshine State — but, given the unprecedented lockdowns we have witnessed in other states, I think the Florida sun now serves as a beacon of light to those who yearn for freedom," DeSantis said, just in time for the annual ritual of sexed-up boozing and partying on beaches from Panama City to Miami.
