BTW, did you know that the inventor of the polio vaccine did not patent it nor did he accept money for it? It was given away free, and it ended the scourge in the U.S. and other first world countries.

I still have the card they gave us showing I was one of the first to get it back in the 50's , I was one of the kids that were in the study group.
And it worked and IMO many of the people that want to stop kids from having to get it to go to school have never known or seen any body that had it, a lot of them born in the 60's and 70's never saw a person with it, it isn't pretty.
Polio has been gone from this country for years and now IMO if they stop giving it to kids it is opening the door for it to return.
In this case the vaccine worked and still does don't let polio come back.

Polio still exists. Some months ago medical aid workers managed to vaccinate thousands of children in Gaza against polio during a temporary ceasefire. It had been spreading among the refugees in the crowded camps. It is also found in other third world countries. All it takes is for one or two visitors carrying the virus to bring it to our shores.

That's true. Toxic has already informed us that we don't need "random shots" or boosters. We just need to take vitamins and eat healthy diets and that will be sufficient, according to her "two doctors." Even though that didn't work very well for most of humanity's history, it's sure to work now. *eyeroll*

You would think people living in areas that have a large numbers of people coming in from other countries , like FLA, NYC other places , would rather have their kids vaccinated so IF somebody that is a carrier comes in their kids or even themselves don't get it.
In many cases a carrier won't get it but still can give it to other people.
IMO this is one vaccine that should be given to every kid to be able to go to public school.

During my residency I saw a case of polio ( I personally did not diagnose it. I just saw the case.). It was because a grandmother was not vaccinated and got it from changing diapers on a kid that was vaccinated with the Sabin vaccine which is a live attenuated vaccine. When the live vaccine passes through the gut it can become stronger. VAPP
