It is illegal to ban guns from the workplace in Florida with some minor exceptions. Disney World claims to be an explosives storage site, because they have fireworks, to avoid having the actor who plays Mickey Mouse carry a gun.

This is a major problem in moving operations to Florida. In Florida gun rights trump private property rights. It is a real mess.

I heard about an assistant manager at Taco Bell who took a disabled female customer outside and beat her for filling her water cup repeatedly with soda after being warned several times not to.

Evolution has created a situation where when people become extremely angry or afraid, their heart rate rises, and their bodies create more energy to fight or run. The greater energy comes at the cost of fine tuned movements, so when someone is emotional enough to start shooting, their aim is at its worst. Beyond that, often the victims move quickly making them very hard to hit at the best of times.

I do not have the statistics on hand, but about two thirds of NYPD shootings at less than 6 feet miss the target completely. At the shooting range, a blind shooter could not miss a body size target completely at 6 feet.

No way. I am from the the North but I spend a lot of time in the deep south of the south. If anything it is the other way. Lots of talking and Banter in the South,...up here not so much. Up here not much talking at all.........things escalate to the BEATING phase of the program quite quickly.... :cool:
 
There are things I absolutely LOVE about the deep south,....then there are things I will never get used to ever. Best way I can explain it is this...........

North..........the heartbeat of a Humming bird.

Deep South....the heartbeat of an elephant.
