Florida rejects large percentage of math school books

And yet no one can find any examples of this? How can these inappropriate math problems be everywhere, and impossible to find examples of? It is a paradox.

Lets move on to the other reason given, that actual examples can be found of: inclusion of math ideas also found in Common Core. Common Core, developed by Florida Republicans, and then turned on by Florida Republicans, promotes algebra and calculus, which apparently Republicans hate.

For all you fans of STEM, there is no STEM without algebra and calculus. They are the core of STEM.

More words would be helpful but men have most certainly been told that they are not welcome in the teaching profession, almost certainly because they are less reliable WOKE conformists.....they cause too many problems for the WOKE.

If the math book is shit, it's shit. I really wish I could look at the ones they nixed and see the content myself. Most of the modern textbooks I've looked at are crap in any case. They're colorful, full of pictures, and short on text / content. It's like looking at a comic book.

One I remember in particular, written by five women, four with PhD's and one with a MA, all in Education, they tried to describe how electricity was generated. They confused a "turbine" (a means of turning a generator) with a generator which they said was "two magnets connected by a piece of wire..." That was the most illiterate, stupid, moronic description of a generator I've ever read. But there it was in a textbook.

I'd love to be able to peruse the textbooks rejected and see for myself, but no luck so far...

Probably would be better than some of the crap they're using today. I still have some of the ones I used in high school and they're streets ahead of the current textbooks.
