Entitlements will be 17% of GDP by 2037, an unsustainable amount. So you can post all the cartoons you want and Josh can cry about not liking reform but it doesn't change the unsustainable numbers.

I guess we need more taxes to support those who fought for our country, our poor, and our elderly. I'm more than willing to help.

What's stopping you? Send your money if you think it helps. why are you not sending all you can?

Yes I do have concern for those in need which is why I support reforming these programs to make them sustainable for the long term. Turning a blind eye to their financial situation is not 'compassionate'.
 
What kind of idiot thinks its better to rob a poor person than it is to rob a rick person.....is that what passes for 'progressive logic'...?
 
I admire your passion, but rule 01 of first response is 'you cannot help others if you cannot help yourself'.

More importantly, helping people in today's society, I feel has become too much about providing for them like parasites pets. Part of being human in society is that you are a person unto yourself, and in addition to your fundamental rights you should be held to a standard that obligates you to provide for yourself.

Aid should be a temporary thing, and targeted more at helping people become productive or self-sufficient. I feel we are enabling helplessness instead of positive growth.

Not that this article is analogous, but it raises my eyebrows. Monetary aid is hurting Africa.
