For Topper,,, the ultimate hillarygirl

And the biggest man problem of all is Hubba Bubba, who is developing a habit of saying stupid things. A bimbo eruption would almost be comic relief compared with his nonsense of saying that critics who blast wifey's habit of ducking tough issues are practically "Swift-boating" her.

Wifey??? Bimbo???
I agree the article is sexist, get past that. I also believe that the can was opened by previous statements from the Candidate herself, as I stated earlier.

Yet you still bring up pieces of the article and ignore previous statements from the candidate that may have brought this to the fore...

Hmmm... Uncomfortable with reality, or just assumptions that it is okay for one but not the other?

Personally I don't see it doing much positive for society either way.

Oh really?

So hillary was asking for it was she?

go google the first known usage of "bimbo eruption" in context of Bill Clinton, then get back to me about how Hillary caused it.

Hint; it wasn't recent.

"Asking for it"? Where did I say that?

I said, that she opened the can of worms in the context of this election cycle. Now everybody appears to be reaching in for a bit of bait and they all want to go fishing.

Hillary isn't the lake. She's one of those fishing.

Your theory falls flat Damo, when you learn, and if you were in a coma during the 90’s you can google this, that “bimbo eruption” was used ever since 1991 about Bill Clinton and any woman around him. It is sexist and disgusting. Not towards Bill, not even towards Hillary, but towards me, and all women.
Bimbo? Excuse me?

And it has nothing to do with anything Hillary said or did during this campaign, and claiming that “she opened the can of worms” IS saying she asked for it.

And Monica Lewinsky wasn't a "bimbo" anyway. That's hateful, sexist blather.

She was a young woman who had an affair with a married man. That doesn't make her a "bimbo". Who cares? I'm not going to judge her.

Fuck. God damn these cons.

One more time. For those too emotive to actually attempt to understand what I wrote and instead wishing to assume I have some sort of sexist self-absorption going on...

1. The Article is indeed sexist.

2. The "Bimbo" remark is sexist, a sexist part of a sexist article.

3. However, the article comes after the insistence that she is ready for the "Boys' Club" of Presidential politics (her words).

4. I believe that by opening that particular "debate" by making those remarks to begin with it becomes a sexist pissing match. That we will see more of this type of stuff rather than less.

5. I think this is an effort to make it the "Battle of the Sexes" in an attempt to get women angry at those "sexist pigs" and vote for her regardless of political affiliation.

6. I think that the author of this article fell for a political move.

So that is what you thought was sexist? What would you call a woman who has sex with a man she knows is married? Or a man that sleeps with a woman he knows is married?

When I saw that, I thought "Monica".... not all women. I would have thought that women viewed her in the same manner. Just as I would have thought that women would view Bill as a cheating bastard.

So, you think monica is a "bimbo".

That's just lovely.

I wouldn't call her a bimbo. I wouldn't call her anything, except a young woman who had an affair with an older man.

Ok Damo, but my point is that he is using language that was already used many times, long before she said “boys club”.

Now, as far as the rest of this goes, I am actually collecting a lot of articles, and Hillary’s statements, because if she is the nominee, this is going to be a big battle, and no I don’t think it was sexist for Edwards and Obama to so-called “attack her”, they always attack the front runner, they have to. That’s politics. But I think that the way Maureen Dowd attacks her IS sexist, and coming full circle I think some of the liberal attacks on Maureen Dowd are using sexist language, and thus giving Dowd the win, because that's exactly where Dowd wants to play, on the coy, cute, little ole me, field.

I know this is largely incoherent, that is because this is all going around in my mind. I am going to be writing about it. I might very well agree with some of what you say, but…there is a lot of sexism floating around Hillary right now. Some of it being put out there by women.

I agree with that but "bimbo" didn't come about because of Clinton either. I speak of this particular arena only. That before those remarks most articles like this weren't published so prominently.

I think that this article plays right into the hands of her political handlers. If she can make it "The Battle of the Sexes" there are a certain number of women who will vote for her because of that.

First of all, that’s far from the only sexist thing in the article, the entire thing is sexist, written by a pig.

Second of all, “bimbo eruption” was in usage long before Bill even met Monica, so regardless of what you thought, it’s not about Monica.

And lastly, I wouldn’t “call” a girl who had an affair with a married man anything, other than a girl, a person, a woman, a human being.

Yes, the term bimbo has been around a long time and Bills penchant for having affairs is why he got tagged with the bimbo eruption. My mind went to his latest, which was monica.

Second, I find that odd that you have no ill feelings toward a woman, or a man for that matter, that would do that. If you were married and your husband cheated on you... would you still feel the same towards the woman or him?

HE didn't get tagged with the word Bimbo. Any woman near him did. It's sexist and stupid and piggish.

The second part of this is you trying to make this far too personal. I wouldn't discuss that kind of thing on this board. Keep it general.

Right... and in my opinion a woman that deliberately sleeps with a married man is a bimbo. The man is a cheating bastard.

Ok, in general, when a womans husband cheats on her... how do you think she feels towards him and the woman he was with? Or reverse it... if a man's wife cheated on him with another man... how do you think he would feel towards her and the other man?

Maybe this is a matter of personal perception, but to me, that is a bimbo/bitch and a bastard.

This is all irrelevent, and there is no "In general". Everyone is different and so are their circumstances.

This is not about cheating, it's about terming women "bimbos". Any woman around Bill Clinton got called that.

Holy fuck.... you say don't make it personal, keep it general, so I say in general and you say it depends on the individual circumstances and there is no in general?

Any woman that was sleeping with/fooling around with got called that.... and he was a womanizing bastard. To my knowledge no woman around him was called that other than those he was sleeping/fooling around with. Or am I mistaken?

Bottom line, the article is right. Spitzer and Rangel and Bill are lobbing potential grenades up in the air that could hurt her campaign if she is forced to address the issues they are bringing up at this time.

There is a different between asking me what I would do, (that is making it personal), and asking me what I think everyone else would do (that is generalizing), and acknowledging that everyone is different so I can't say what everyone else would do (that is reality).

You are saying that it is ok to make sexual judgements on a woman. That is how sexism has always been excused, by projecting your morality, or rather, your view of what a woman’s morality should be (these are often two different things) onto her. Thus, it is ok to call a woman a bimbo if she is wearing a particular kind of skirt. It’s not that your sexist, you love women! Decent women. Any woman who would wear a skirt like that, is not a decent woman ergo it is ok to call her a bimbo, and it is not sexist.
I don’t care what your personal vision of what a woman’s morality should be is. That is irrelevant here. It is never ok to use phrases like “bimbo eruption” are never ok.

You hate Hillary Clinton, and you fear being called a sexist for it. You’re obsessed with anyone daring to use the word sexist or sexism in relation to Hillary Clinton.

There is a lot of sexism revolving around Hillary, deal with it. Too bad if you don’t like people pointing it out, it’s not going to stop me, and it’s not going to shut me up.

I don't know why you feel the compulsive need to call any women who has an affair, a "bimbo". These are people, human beings, who make choices, sometimes right, and sometimes wrong...just like all the rest of us do. You are not in a position to judge other people's marriages. I thought you guys made this clear, when you proclaimed that the impeachment of bill clinton was about high-minded legal principles, and not sex.

IMO, applying the term "bimbo" universally to any woman who has an affair, is sexist. Yes, and maybe bill clinton was a "bastard". I don't care, and I don't bother thinking up words to describe his behaviour. Because , that's for hillary to judge. Not me. I'm not married to the guy.

Wow. Talk about reading a lot into what I wrote. YOU are trying to act like I am saying it is ok to do to women only. I am saying it is most certainly ok for people to express their feelings towards a MAN or a WOMAN who sleeps with someone who is married.

I never said it was ok to judge someone based on the clothes they wear. That is an idiotic stretch to go from.... sleeping with a married person.... to wearing a short skirt. Quite the difference in the two.

If a man is sleeping with a bunch of women when he is married then I believe it is ok to say a bimbo eruption. Just as it would be ok to call the man a cheating bastard. Likewise, if it was a married woman cheating with a bunch of men, you could use similar terminology in reverse.

Yes, I do not like Hillary. I do not "fear" being called a sexist for not liking her. I am, however, tired of idiots on the left telling me I don't like her BECAUSE she is a woman. Her being a woman is NOT why I do not like her. So why don't YOU deal with that?

Yes, there is a lot of sexism surrounding Hillary. She is making sure of that. Hence her "the men are piling on me" and "I can play in the boys club" comments. SHE wants this to be about her gender. Because she knows her policies won't get her elected.

When did I mention ANYTHING about stopping you from expressing your opinion?
