In a statement, a Justice Department spokeswoman said the FBI — which has added a letter from Christine Blasey Ford to Kavanaugh's already completed background report file — had already done all it was going to do, because "the allegation does not involve any potential federal crime."

"The FBI does not make any judgment about the credibility or significance of any allegation," the statement reads. "The purpose of a background investigation is to determine whether the nominee could pose a risk to the national security of the United States. The allegation does not involve any potential federal crime. The FBI's role in such matters is to provide information for the use of the decision makers."

they did a background investigation, just like kavanaugh has had 6 times. They do not do criminal investigations that aren't federal issues, like in this instance.

They have already filed this in their report, which they got months ago. There is nothing more for them to do. They have the information, they investigate for background reasons only. It's in the file. Beyond that it's not their jurisdiction. You are dumb and have proven such today. Go back to remedial civics. If you want, I can tutor you sometime.

We aren’t stating it’s for criminal purposes, cool your jets, it’s for details of the allegations. If they had the details, why was t the committee made aware? I’m sure Harris and a few others would have wanted to question him about the matter.

But let’s say for the sake of argument that the FBI were to investigate. And let’s say they know of your fact based world and tap you to do the investigation
