She certainly makes it clear we are spending too much money trying to prevent violent sexual assault. I'd guess see is not worried about ever being a victem herself.

I guess Righties don't really care about female (or gay) soldiers. Remember the booing during the GOP debate?

This may be politically incorrect but I think it's worth while to put it out there.

The segment informs us the budget for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office has grown from 5 million in 2005 to 23 million in 2010. Total expenses on sexual assault prevention and related efforts are now at 113 million annually. Sexual counsellors, victim’s advocates, sexual response coordinators, etc. all on the payroll. The commentator asks, "what do they expect”, explaining the fact men and women are side by side in stressful situations.

Now, we all know sex is the greatest stress reliever ever invented so I propose the military use some of the 113 million to pay local prostitutes. Considering virtually all countries involved in war are suffering economic depression a portion of that 113 million would go a long way to helping the local population. I mean, just think about it. Soldiers return to base camp and there are prostitutes waiting. One hundred million (100,000,000) US dollars would buy A LOT of sexual favors.

We can even take this a step further and have in-house prostitutes. Considering homes are being blown up the prostitutes would be safe and have access to proper nutrition while on base. Furthermore, the in-house prostitutes could be checked for STDs thereby protecting the soldiers and them, as well.

Could be a win-win situation.

LOL.

Watch the rightie double-down...and note that she seems to be reading from a teleprompter...wonder why it's OK for Fox talking heads to use a 'prompter, but not Obama.

Here's another video discussing another Righty, Bill O'Reilly. Check out Olbermann 6:15 to the end. It documents how FOX alters transcripts.

What can you expect from people who do these things?

It shows the general Republican mindset when one can hear the audience cheer the death penalty even after people on death row have been proven not guilty. Then there was the standing ovation for a twice admitted adulterer and accused open marriage proponent.

Family values? Sanctity of life? It's all bullsh!t.

The entire Repub party needs to be flushed down the toilet. Remember George, on Seinfeld, waxing poetic about the powerful toilets in Grand Central?

At least there are people working on the problem. Here's a 130 mile an hour flush!

oh good grief

however, there is one thing that is overlooked in all of this,

nothing hikes the biological urge to reproduce like being shot at and surviving and mixing men and women under such circumstances produces a volatile mix of the excited VS the unexcited

especially in an environment of limited sexual release

this is also why homosexuality is such a taboo subject in the military, shared combat produces strong bonds...sometimes they become sexual

however, there is no excuse for rape

...there is no excuse for rape

According to Liz Trotta, there is, apparently. To paraphrase the Fox corresondent, "It's a woman's fault for wanting to serve her country alongside a man. What does she expect"?

Uhhhh I don't believe you've thought that one through Apple. I don't think openly advocating prostitution, particularly in a Muslim nation, is going to fly with the locals.

we scare the excrement out of the muslim power system with our talk of democracy, so we might as well go whole hog

i think that apple has a good idea that will never be implemented because people in this nation would go bat crazy over it

Good point. I figured my plan would require a bit of fine tuning.

Perhaps have prostitutes accompany the soldiers as part of the "unit" rather than use locals. While I'm sure some in Congress would object the "girls" expense could be covered under other recreational activities/expenses such as pools, exercise equipment, movie screens, etc. Considering over a hundred million dollars are currently being spent on sexual problems it's definitely worthwhile to look into alternatives.
