California bill to lower penalties for sexual relations with minor heads to Newsom's desk
Bill would remove requirement for offenders to register as a sex offender after committing certain sex acts with minors within a 10-year age difference

A California bill that would remove a requirement for offenders to register as a sex offender after committing certain sex acts with minors within a 10-year age difference is set to go to Gov. Gavin Newsom's desk after passing in both legislative houses.

The bill, SB 145, applies in cases where the victim is between the ages of 14 and 17 and aims to lift an existing registration requirement for oral and anal sex. The state senate and assembly both voted to approve the bill on Tuesday despite Republican opposition in the Senate and bipartisan opposition in the assembly.

"If signed into law, a 24-year-old could have sexual relations with a 15-year-old child without being required to register as a sex offender," Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove tweeted Tuesday.

Hello Darth,

That sounds nice but the fact is ‘early’ was already late. The virus was here before Trump anyone else could do anything about it. If it was in China in November it was here *no later* than December.

The first known case of COVID was the first *known* case of COVID in this country. With all the immigration from China it’s virtually impossible for the virus to take from November [in China] all the way to January to get here. It’s almost certain that COVID cases/deaths were being missed in January/February [what were we doing in February again?] and the National case number could have easily been in the thousands given the mobility of our population.

In short, we were basically screwed, by China and the WHO. At that point the virus was gonna virus. There was a narrow window where contact tracing could have stopped it, but yeah.

Actually, with our southern border being so porous it was likely inevitable.

Total BS, but I understand there has to be some way to give Donald a free pass. It is unthinkable that he might actually be a selfish person who is only in it for himself and is totally unqualified as a leader. So there must be some way to think of it to let him off the hook. Donald Trump must be given his FREE PASS to do anything wrong he wants.

" It’s almost certain that COVID cases/deaths were being missed in January/February"

Correct.

That is why widespread early testing was an absolute necessity.

Because that was not made an absolute priority, the time that was lost there translated into lives lost.

American blood on Donald Trump's hands.

We are not forgetting.

He is *so* getting voted out.

We have had enough.

We are going to Elect Joe Biden President of the United States.

Refresh my memory.

Congress was doing impeachment -Trump bans flights from China /both in Jan

It's unstoppable -even social distancing and masks can't stop it.
The idea was to slow it down so it did not overwhelm hospitals. Trump did that too.

Hello Darth,

Tell me, what was ‘the absolute priority’ in January/February?

Refresh my memory.

Gladly.

The WHO made a coronavirus test available on January 22nd. South Korea, which identified their first known case on the same day as the United States, accepted the WHO test and went into full scale implementation with drive-thru testing available to anyone who wanted it. And their people did want it. SK was able to identify just where the hot spots were and trace the contacts. They identified who needed to quarantine and the public responded. This yielded a very effective response.

The USA rejected the WHO test and began to develop our own. Pretty quickly, too. After all, it was a priority. We had our own test within a week. It was volume manufactured and sent out in early February. Tragically, it was contaminated and the tests didn't work. We set about creating a good test, and eventually gave up, and went ahead and used the WHO test by the end of February. That month was lost to the virus. It spread rapidly around the USA because we had no way to know who had it and who didn't.

That allowed many Americans to die needlessly.

We didn't even get serious until Friday, March 13th. That was when President Trump FINALLY declared this an emergency. By then, the damage had already been done.

Suddenly 8.4% unemployment rate, nearly a million new claims for unemployment benefits, only 1.37 million new jobs out of the 22 million lost, and 18 million still unemployed is good news, or as Trump put it, “great job numbers.” They are focused on that charade and trying to rationalize Trump telling people to vote twice, beautiful

Actually entertaining watching how one can shovel such sh*t without breaking into a laugh

As usual you are a liar and a half-witted idiot.

Here are the facts you imbecile:

On Oct 4, 2019 the headline was:

U.S. unemployment rate falls to 50-year low
Oct 4, 2019 8:35 AM EDT
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/economy/u-s-unemployment-rate-falls-to-50-year-low

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. employers added a modest 136,000 jobs in September, enough to help lower the unemployment rate to a new five-decade low of 3.5%.

The figures show that hiring has slowed this year as the U.S.-China trade war has intensified, global growth has slowed and businesses have reduced their investment spending. Even so, recent job gains have averaged 157,000 in the past three months, enough to absorb new job seekers and potentially lower unemployment over time.

Then came the Covid virus.

The came fascist Democrat governors USING te virus to destroy the economy in order to hurt Trump.

NOW COMES THIS:

Jobless Claims Fall to 881,000, Lowest Since Pandemic Hit
https://www.breitbart.com/economy/2...ims-fall-to-881000-lowest-since-pandemic-hit/

Fewer than one million U.S. workers filed new claims for unemployment benefits in the final week of August, the Labor Department said in its weekly report Thursday.

The government said 881,000 new claims for the week ending August 29, a new low for unemployment claims since the labor market was rocked by the coronavirus pandemic

Trump will repeat his miracle.

But if iden is elected all jobs will be lost.

Its that simple.

It has almost entirely been flowing the other way. How many cases has Mexico gotten from us? Most of their cases come from us either directly or indirectly.

Post a link proving this, Walter.

Otherwise we will know that you are posting from your culo... again.

Immigration from China was stopped by President Trump.

Your loon, Dementia Joe, called him a racist.

You care squat about the American people.

You cheered the economic loss by millions of Americans and their families caused by the virus from China that China failed to contain.

Congress is chopped liver? If the president [actually our medical bureaucracy] is dropping the ball on something like this, what is the responsibility of Congress?

What were they *preoccupied with* during this time?

Same with our ‘journalists’. Why weren’t our journalists hounding the president—or anybody—about this during the very time contact tracing could have conceivably nipped it in the bud?

What was the media preoccupied with?

Say it.

There was no nipping it in the bud.

The only chance was to slow it down.

We needed to buy time. We still do.

We just have to make it until there is an effective a widespread vaccine.

The longer we could delay the spread the more lives are saved.

No.

We had a chance to nip it in the bud; but that meant relying on China/WHO to be ‘forthcoming’ about what was going on in Wuhan.

By the time our national case numbers were in the thousands we were basically screwed. And that could have easily been as early as December.

It’s all actually moot, anyway. We have an effectively open border in the south. The virus travels—that’s why it’s called a pandemic. Once it got to Mexico it was going to get here. You can’t contact trace people you don’t even know are here. And once they get in they can end up anywhere. Literally.

This was all going to happen. Only a question of how it was going to go down.

WE had no chance of nipping it in the bud. China had a chance and China blew it. Once it got loose there was no nipping it in the bud. By the time we were aware of it and having confirmed cases, there were already unknown cases in the USA, no doubt.

What we had a chance to do and blew it on was containment. Since Trump blew it so badly and basically denied it for a month and a half, we didn't take proactive action when the time was crucial to do so. That cost thousands of American lives. America is not forgetting, And we are voting Trump OUT for it. He blew it. He could have really taken the bull by the horns and it was a chance to shine as a great leader, but he just doesn't really have it. He's all bluster. Not the real thing.

Testing - testing - testing!

What we needed early on was testing.

If we had rapid widespread testing early on, we could have done a far better job of containment, thus saving thousands of American lives.

But we didn't have early widespread testing.

What we had was denial.

And now what we have is another 911 in American deaths every week.

Or another Pearl Harbor, however you want to look at it.

Trump blew it and we have to get rid of him.

Because he was President for 8 years? Bush was clearly to blame for the economic problems during and immediately after his Presidency. Obama was clearly to blame for the economic progress during and immediately after his Presidency. It is four years later, and we are entirely in the trump economy.

trump created a massive stimulus when we already had reasonable growth. This threw the economy out of whack, and meant we had little leeway for when there was an economic problem. You cannot blame Clinton, Bush, or Obama for that.

Truth Detester: The economic numbers are great, and it is 100% trump's credit.
The rest of the world: No, they are terrible.
Truth Detester: Well, then trump deserves none of the blame.

Imagine if Obama had the Swine Flu breakout within three months of coming to office? We do not have to imagine, he handled it fantastically.

Imagine if after being in office for over three years trump is handed a pandemic? Again, we do not have to imagine, trump failed completely.

Obama was able to handle the Great Recession, and a pandemic all almost immediately upon coming to office.

No one believes Truth Detester's lies.
