I wouldn't compare them to the Onion, which makes it very clear that what they post is satire and humor, NOT real news. Those alt-Reichwing sites you mentioned though, they just outright lie. The dutiful RW idiots of JPP believe those lies. It's hard to imagine having so little regard for one's reputation that you would post links that let everyone know you're a gullible, amoral cretin.
