Seems the French might have a spine after all. Marcon is sending a fleet of 8 frigates, two helicopter carriers, and their nuclear-powered aircraft carrier the Charles de Gaulle, to the Persian Gulf to help keep the Strait of Hormuz open.

The French helicopter carriers have up to 16 copters each and an assault force of 460 to 700 soldiers. The Charles de Gaulle carrier carries 28 to 40 aircraft.

This group may be looking to kill remaining Iranian naval units and to give air cover to the Charles de Gaulle.

I know this may come as a great disappointment to you but oil prices are on the way back down. They spiked at $120 now they are $87 and falling. The Dow is climbing.

It isn't per se Starmer. Britain has suffered from heavy doses of socialism returning since Thacher did away with much of it back in the 80's. The result is that the UK is drowning in a sea of debt and, as always with the Left in the Western world they went looking for more cash wherever they could find it. Defense is one of those things they cut beyond the bone.

Between peace and the Left in the UK seeing the US being their protector, they looted defense to temporarily prop up things like the NHS. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. The UK can't project power anywhere today. The Royal Navy is welded to a pier with ships that don't work and ships that there's no money to fix or even fully man. The army and RAF have been reduced to near nothing.

If Argentina tried to take the Falklands today, they'd probably succeed. The UK has nothing to send.

Everything Terry is pushing now is stuff we heard during the NeoCon era. If you speak against the necessity and reasoning of this way 'you want America to lose', if you condemn the US life loss 'why do you hate the troops'.
