There are 435 House seats up for election. Republicans have fielded black candidates for 15 of them. Congratulations to the Republican party on this momentous accomplishment.

I didn't get caught in my own words, anyone is welcome to go read the thread you copied that from, and see the context it was presented in. You tried to distort my viewpoint because that's all you have left in your arsenal. I haven't "laid claim to a brotherhood" by posting a fucking op-ed! I just posted an op-ed, and people can read it and take it for what it's worth, I didn't "lay claim" to it, or say anything about it, really. I just copied and pasted it here for further discussion, which you are obviously hell-bent on avoiding. And you know what? That's fine with me! I am elated that you have gone out of your way to distort and distract from the thread topic, it shows what a dishonest lying piece of jackass shit you really are, and I don't give a damn what you have to say about your personal politics, really. The german's were forced to pay reparations to the jews. When someone does harm to another and a jury finds them liable they have to pay the victim of their tort. That is what has been going on since 1964. I know you didn't doing anything personally to black people, but the several states and the US government worked actively to harm black people. You cannot engage in 2 centuries of harm, say oops sorry, we won't do that anymore, and expect that things will be better the next day, or the next decade. Probably would have been better for us poor white guys if the government had just paid reparations, then we could wash our hands of the whole thing and move on. Instead, our government said they would make up for the aparthied that went on in this country. I am a white man who has been alive for 45 years. I was in the Army where no woman or person of color kept me from achieving. I worked on the American river system, on barges in the early and mid 80's where only one company on the entire river hired black deckhands. I went to college and law school and was not kept out of either because of my color or the color of another. The affirmative action crier plays the race card as much as anybody does, only he tries to convince us how hard it is to be a white man. Unemployment numbers show a different story.

Well, Republicans didn't "field" black candidates. Black candidates ran for office with a conservative message and won the conservative republican vote. Dispelling the MYTHS that Republicans are racists, or that black people have nothing in common with conservatives. More and more black people, as well as Hispanics and other minorities, are realizing what a FRAUD has been perpetrated on them by the Democrat Party and how Socialist/Marxist/Communist policies are an utter FAILURE in every way, for not only them, but America as well.

the whole problem with a solution of affirmative action is it punishes the whole for the misdeeds of a few, especially to a generation that didn't exist when the misdeeds occurred. Should I then be punished because black people were thought of as property and not as a person over 150 years ago? If that is the case, then where's my reparations as a native american descendant? I'd like my ancestors property back.

Isn't it funny how Liberals can read his words and find justification for liberalism and socialist ideals, and TEA Party people can read the same thing, and find justification for smaller limited government? I guess it all depends on your perception and interpretation.
