How do you figure that? Because governments don't pay tariffs...businesses do. And then those businesses pass those costs on to us.

Do you...do you think countries just exchange piles of money and that's trade?

yeah and since the Russia tax cut started:

  • Q1 2018 GDP growth was down 0.7% to 2.2%
  • Q2 2018 GDP growth was inflated nearly by a full point because of the rush to get exports out ahead of the tariffs - what's that mean for Q3?
  • The market is flat
  • Slowest pace of job creation since 2017 which was the slowest since 2011
  • The deficit is back to $1T (I thought you all hated deficits?)
  • 4 million people lost health insurance
  • Insurance premium increases this fall will be the highest since before the ACA
  • No jobs have been "brought back", but plenty of jobs have left
  • REAL WAGES FOR MOST WORKERS HAVE DECLINED
So yes...own that tax cut.
