The Fort Worth Police Department said Officer Benjamin Hanlon was terminated Tuesday because he misrepresented details on an arrest warrant affidavit. He said that drugs were found on a prisoner during a traffic stop, but they were really found during the jail book in procedure.
"Intentionally placing false information on an arrest affidavit or any other official document is a very serious matter and affects the ethical standards of our profession. It will not be tolerated by any police employee, much less an officer on probation," said Chief Jeffery Halstead.
