FYI Nike stock rallies as sales surpass Street estimates by more than $1 billion

Taiwan is a country.

:dunno: that depends on lots of things..

Personally I don't think it is Chinese, period.. They invaded it & are not native..

In the wider scheme of things that matters little..

For the last few years I have believed the Isle of Formosa (once also part of Japan) would willingly join "Peking" but the impatient saber rattling of Jingo Ji is having an opposite effect..

The greedy "capitalist" in Taiwan helped create the beast that now threatens to devour them~ US & the west

Well, a lot of people’s problem with LeBron is his hypocrisy lol.

It’s like woke stops at the shores of China. Maybe if he stood up for the oppressed people under the thumbs of the CCP like he does the kind/sorta oppressed people in this country he would gain more respect.

The world is full of hypocrisy, is it not??

I think every player in the league, & in most pro sports have as part of their contract to not act against the interest of the league-which now the "league" something akin to a cartel or something has decided kissing commie ass is in their best interest.......... Sadly China, unlike the USSR learned very quickly that greed can be played upon to have your will enforced from w/in the fortress, on the highest levels....

Those same corporations, which so happen to be the owners & operators/funders of the two parties have them acting as their advocates~ & noting could epitomize this any clearer than the actions of the NBA...

Fortunately America has woken up to the threat, just as Jingo Jinping puts his pedal to the metal.. Unfortunately it is likely years to late & short of war we will shortly no longer be the lone superPower & world dominate..

Well, it is called the Republic of China...

Even if Xi Jinping weren't the Chairman, there's no way you rejoin a country that is still run by a communist party. There will never be a Marxist on this earth, or any other, who can be trusted.

You trusted Donald Trump and that is far worse.

I really don't trust any of them, other than to do what they believe is in the best interest of those running the country..

I am not sure what you mean by rejoin??

Wasn't Formosa/Taiwan considered part of China until 1949?

The Ryukyu Kingdom[a] was a kingdom in the Ryukyu Islands from 1429 to 1879. It was ruled as a tributary state of imperial China by the Ryukyuan monarchy, who unified Okinawa Island to end the Sanzan period, and extended the kingdom to the Amami Islands and Sakishima Islands. The Ryukyu Kingdom played a central role in the maritime trade networks of medieval East Asia and Southeast Asia despite its small size. The Ryukyu Kingdom became a vassal state of the Satsuma Domain of Japan after the invasion of Ryukyu in 1609 but retained de jure independence until it was transformed into the Ryukyu Domain by the Empire of Japan in 1872. The Ryukyu Kingdom was formally annexed and dissolved by Japan in 1879 to form Okinawa Prefecture, and the Ryukyuan monarchy was integrated into the new Japanese nobility.

But China would have claimed it back after the war, correct?

But China would have claimed it back after the war, correct?

They have, & much more..

The rest will pay tribute & act & serve on their behalf.. See my avatar?? Those countries use to be kingdoms, & peoples that paid homage & tribute to the emperor, except maybe Cambodia (Khmer empire) & various parts of Thailand..

So quickly the USA rose to superPower status & played the role, & O' so quickly she has fallen..... :palm:
