By this logic I suppose we could say that the Cambridge Police knew a civil rights suit would be filed against them by Gates and they knew they would lose and resultantly dropped the disorderly conduct charge, no?

A certificate of live birth IS the original birth certificate. Both the long form and the short form are issued at the same time at birth. They are equally legitimate as each other, the long form just has superfluous information about the mother and father. Most states are going to completely do away with long forms in the coming years.

The practice of racial profiling loses .. and that's all that matters.

Unquestionably more police departments are paying more attention to the issue of racial profiling and any and all outrageous cases of it that are captured on film .. a technique mandated by this issue .. will be highlighted nationally, and in some cases such as this, internationally. American society is on stage globally.

Gates goes on in his career .. with a bit more noteriety

The cop continues his career .. with a bit more noteriety and an understanding that black cops had his back.

Obama remains a pussy.

And, those of you on the right are free to percieve this incident however you choose, but it's not going to add numbers to your ranks, nor rescue you from the discumbobulated condition you're in.

However, given your low numbers and lack of anything of substance to celebrate, I fully understand your need to feel good about sumptin' (eb).
