gay ex soldier waitress will donate tips to wounded warriors

Morales later responded that it took every fiber of her being not to spit in the couple's food, but her faith in humanity was now restored.

I will now call her a liar... how would she have known prior to the bill that this was going to happen? Why would she refrain herself PRIOR to the bill even being produced?

The above link shows the families credit card statement showing they were charged the bill PLUS THE TIP.

So either the waitress is lying or someone she works with altered the merchant copy. Either way... both the waitress and the restaurant owe the customer an apology.

Funny too how the restaurant was more than willing to comment when they were getting business and good publicity from this story, but now they are silent 'pending an internal investigation'.

I think it's funny how this so-called credit card statement gets produced within days of the controversy and the billing just happens to stop on the day the event took place. We all have credit cards. If the cutoff date is 11/13 for example, you're not going to get your paper copy until at least two weeks later.

I am with smarter's camp on this one. In the first place, they signed the copy that said 93.55! That is the Merchant's copy receipt that has the customer's signature on it or at least their initials on it--I think they signed it Berman--it is for 93.55. But if you look at the receipt that they have written the information on, the number next to the highlighted number that is the total there; it is also for 93.55 even though someone (else as SF has noted) apparently wrote the other numbers in the customer copy which is the way it is usually done. When you get the receipt you write the amount you are paying and sign it and leave it in the little thingy--usually a covered folder-- and take the customer copy with you for your records--you take that home. But the one that is signed is how much they paid or were charged and that says $93.55! It appears if there is a hoax here it is the customer's who have added a tip to the customer copy that doesn't appear on the Merchant's copy they signed for 93.55! I can't explain the Visa card bill but we haven't see that so who knows what that actually said or whether they did something to that, but I have to go with the Merchant's copy which has someone's signature on it and it looks like it was sighed by a right handed writer to me. So all the talk about being left handed is disproved by the actual slant of the writing in the signature!

The merchants copy is a fake...note the number 5's on the each bill....right or left handed to you ? I'm left handed and it is unnatural to drawn a straight line to make a 5
(not to say it can't be done)
The credit card charge is proof positive that a tip was paid....

Pope Francis?

 Comment deserves a more personal response.

What is your point? It's likely that someone else wrote the numbers on the Customer copy when they got home. It was written with a different pen as well as the numbers being different. The ink uses on the two receipts is different also. The pen that wrote the $93.55 on the Merchants copy is also the pen used for the signature which looks like Berman to me, and is written by someone who appears to me to be right handed as well!

The customer claims to be left-handed. Whats your point ?

And concluding 2 different pens were used is a stretch....that can't possibly be determined from the photos in the link.

You're a lefty? Damn bravs, there's hope for anyone!

Seriously, the woman says she couldn't have signed the bill but what about the husband? It's why I say everyone should give writing samples.

I wondered about that too!

Good point......and how did the credit card charge get to show the tip was paid....that could not have been done by anyone other than the restaurant.....
Nice of the pinheads to stick up for the homo in the face of this proof....its expected...

I didn't see that .... where does the women say she couldn't have signed the bill....the bill is dated 11/13, its not like it was a year ago...someone should
remember who signed the bill....
The credit card bill is undeniable proof of the charge....to the penny, that HAD TO originate at the diner....

You can access your account anytime and print a copy of your charges....

The restaurant reportedly could not produce the original receipt nor explain why the family was charged for the tip amount for the meal last Wednesday.

Don't you question this ?

Do you claim the credit statement is a forgery ?

LMAO... Unless of course you print it off on line... in which case you can do so within minutes of it being posted. Funny how you keep defending the waitress and blaming the customers. Even though we now have statements that this waitress has lied many times in the past. Even though it is damn hard to fake a credit card statement without having that blow up in your face. Why would the customer even come forward to do that?

Add in the fact that the waitress said she had to refrain from spitting in their food... yet... the 'offending message' was supposedly written on the bill. Hmmmm....

"The couple told NBC 4 New York that they believed their receipt was used for a hoax. The wife says she is left-handed and could not have made the slash in the tip line, which she said looks to be drawn from the right."

Morales says the handwriting on the check isn't hers and the anonymous couple say the same thing. So whose writing is it?

There are two options... it is the waitresses and she is lying or it is another employee at the restaurant that is screwing with the waitress. The FACT that the customers were charged the amount of the bill PLUS the tip pretty much eliminates them. There is no way they could fake the charge that is run by the restaurant company to the credit card company.

Anyone who isn't blind as a bat can see that the Merchant's copy was written with a fine point pen and the Customer copy numbers were written with a medium point pen. Anyone can see that. It's not even debatable. All you have to do is look at the two receipts to see the difference. The only the willfully ignorant would pretend that such an obvious difference can't be seen with the naked eye. It's obvious to me and I'm nearly blind without my glasses.

The paper bill doesn't look the same as the online version.

Re: the food spitting, maybe she was referring to the comment the couple made about her appearance when she introduced herself, i.e. "Dan" not "Dayna." It was an ignorant thing to say and maybe even profiling.

What about this, too...

But Lapola stood by his waitress and said that he instructed his staff to discount an entree from the family’s check and to credit the difference as a tip.

Welllllll....what about this too....

On Tuesday, former colleagues and friends of Morales, 22, formerly of Stony Point, N.Y., say she has a reputation for lying.
Morales has been caught in multiple lies, telling co-workers she shaved her head because she had brain cancer and later telling them it was her friend who had brain cancer, her colleagues and friends said.
They said she also told co-workers at a day care center where she once worked that Superstorm Sandy severely damaged her home in Stony Point, and sent a boat into her living room. Concerned co-workers dropped by her home and found only minor damage to the carpet by her front door and no sign of a boat, they said.
"Every story she comes up with has a lie," said Julie Howat, 23, of Pomona, N.Y.
In the news report, the family's customer copy of the check was shown. It has the same "11/13 19:19" time stamp as the merchant copy that went viral. The report also claims that a bill from the couple's credit card company appears to show a $111.55 charge from the restaurant.
The customer check had $18 written for tip on the $93.55 total.

I'd guess you're on the wrong side again Sweetie....too bad you're so narrow-minded and lack the ability to see issues from any other perspective than from the far far left.

Shes a militant homo with an agenda....and she never thought the family would find out about her scam, let alone go public with a denial.
