Gay pride parade in houston 2004 draws 200,000

BTW - the Sons of Liberty were labeled as fringe by their fellow Americans over the Boston Tea Party incident. Not a widely supported stunt, but the Brits didn't get any sympathy when they passed the Intollerable Acts. Instead, they incited open revolt.

so why is it you feel compelled to have an avi of your foot....especially living in hawaii....

i've lived in the islands (marshall islands, honolulu), and showing off feet like you do is not cool....

curious as to why you think so. maybe those islanders lied to me.....

If you don't know about "Hawaiian Feet" then yes, you were either lied to or didn't immerse yourself deeply enough in the culture.

And so did Tienanmen Square.
Apples and oranges. Tienanmen Square was a protest by people that live in an authoritarian society. While I am a supporter of a flat tax, the tax structure in this country does not equal the authoritarian regime of China. Even with Obama's tax increase, the top 2% would only be paying what they paid under Clinton. That is not so unlivable. Definitely not as unlivable as the government that people live under in China.

So after reading your posts I guess THIS was your point. Apples and Oranges.

The tax and regulatory system in the American Colonies was nothing compared to the oppression of the masses in France, but we still had our (successful and meaningful) revolution before they did...

Okay. So a protest 5 years ago about a wholesale unrelated issue drew significantly more people than the tea parties, thus the tea parties are a failure.

Tiananmen Square was the HUGE in 1989!!1!! ! 1! LOL @ the tea parties!!!!1

The Million Man March in 1995 RULED!!! LOL @ the tea parties1!

You missing the obvious lesson of the comparisons has to be intentional. Nobody is that blind.

The motivation and catalyst for participation in all such events is passion for the issue.

Surely I don't have to continue.
