I'm old and know who Dane Cook is. Not that I think he is particularly funny, but I know who he is.


Carlin was the best of the best, in my humble opinion. A thinking man's comedian. And he managed to have a career that spanned 50 years. Almost 40 years as one of the funniest guys around.

I had several of his albums (round black disks that we played on turntables/phongraphs for you youngsters). I laughed until I hurt when I first heard him.



I feel like I have lost a friend. And knowing there will be no 4th book is sad.

I like Gallagher a bit better, Carlin do open up some peoples eyes to a different way of looking at things though.

I went to one of Gallagher's shows was great.

The guy makes you think in a humerous manner.

That's another pisser. He was the Honoree for this years Mark Twain prize at the Kennedy center, which now, to state the obvious, will be awarded posthumously.
