Bullshit... the Dixie Chicks were still free to express their opinion. But voicing their opinion led to consequences.... the people who disagreed with them voiced THEIR opinions via the boycott.
The Dixie Chicks stood by their words as did those who opposed their views. There is nothing wrong with either action.
You just now harp on free speech... well that is just exactly what the people who boycotted the Dixie Chicks were expressing. The Dixie Chicks were still free to voice their opinions and sell records to people who were not opposed to their positions.
