Gerrymandering Gets Safe Districts Gets Lock-Step Insult-Driven Republican Party

Gerrymandering has been around since the early 1800's. Those folks were sure forward thinking, "let's create this now so we can elected Trump in 200 years..."

It was around and barely a factor until the Reds figured out how to industrialize it. They hired computer and math wizards to craft exotic districts to isolate Dems and give reds advantages in more and more districts. They made a local flaw into a powerful tool to cheat.

Happy Holidays Woko Haram,

The media cuts itself off by being more interested in clickbait than actual substance. But I agree that hearing all voices is important. The media is very selective in what voices it airs, however.

State run media has less vulnerability to profit concerns, but it has other issues in terms of bias. Usually, they present the bias of the government itself and the bias of those employed by the government. US bureaucracy and academia have biases of their own.

My argument is that there is no unbiased media source, so you have to consume media from all sides to figure out what the truth is. It's usually somewhere in the middle.

True, many sources give the best indicator of the real truth, and while it is usually found somewhere in the middle, it also lies at times squarely with one side or the other. In the case of Gerrymandering, it is currently biased quite favorably toward the Republican party.

Happy Holidays to you as well.

That's only true if you ignore the districts that are gerrymandered in blue states.
