There is zoning rules, and building permission. For a new project, that can all take months or even years. Many times it is completely impossible.

The interesting part about it is that it is current house owners who decide whether new houses should be built. That dilutes the value of their house, and does not benefit them. That makes them very unfriendly.

I find myself having to explain aspects of the world to you alt right posters. My question is how do you dress yourself in the morning without someone to help you?

Come try to remodel your home in some places here, let alone build something new. There are all kinds of restrictions on new development. It's the ultimate Fvck You I've Got Mine attitude.

Houses are bringing a premium for here and making it possible to build new houses. I fought a town cmmission and won on a driveway variance and was going to fight about certain roofing materials being required but did not want to hold up progress
