because states are free to select their electors however they wish, it is possible to bypass a constitutional amendment. It will still be difficult to get enough states to give over their rights but its a lot fewer than 3/4. Some states are already doing this. Its not enough to matter but bears attention down the road.

So show us where the constitution says ANYTHING about education rights for illegal aliens??? I realize in 1982 the courts wrote a law ordering states to give free k-12 to illegals, but courts aren't allowed to write laws!!!! They just took their bribes and made it up.

OTOH section 1324 is a law PASSED BY CONGRESS and it says illegals cannot attend schools.

I might add the 12th amendment is the most confusing 3 paragraphs ever written in the english language. I wish it would be rewritten and do away with electors and say the electoral votes in each state shall go to the candidate who wins the popular vote IN THAT STATE. You're saying it should go to the candidate who wins the popular vote in the COUNTRY and that is really dumb.

There is a much simpler way to resolve the problem, and that is if the states would all drop the "Winner Take All Delegates" in their states.

But so far, only 2 states allow all candidates to keep the delegates they won in their state!

The states can do exactly that. You rightys claim to be state rightists, but abandon it when it suits you. As I typed in, 10 states have already voted to change it. States have a right to determine how the EVs are rewarded. You really should do some homework.

You ignore that some states have already established that they will seat electors based on national popular vote. If more states do the same, it happens.

The first public schools were established in the 1830s. There was no educational system to use the bigotry you imagine was in place. Education until then, was for the wealthy. Text would not have gone to school in early America. I am not sure he did it in this America.

You need no further proof in this lifetime that the founders INTENDED for the constitution to evolve

HUH??? What does that have to do with letting illegal invaders use our schools? And use them for free. Illegal parents with 5 kids in school are costing the taxpayers $100,000 a year. Section 1324 says illegals are not allowed to use our schools. Why isn't that law enforced?

They ARE in effect for the states that have passed them so clearly SCOTUS will not take action.
To date it has made no difference as they are blue states anyway.
Best to keep an eye on any activity in the rest of the states where efforts are underway to expand the pool.
