Close to 9 out of 10 who are hospitalized are unvaccinated.

The vaccine is proven to: lower the rate of transmission, and alleviate the severity of symptoms for anyone who does get COVID.

It's pretty amazing. Again - if everyone got vaxxed today, we'd be done w/ COVID in a month.

It would be cool to get rid of COVID. It's too bad all of the common sense stuff became so politicized.

I'm not for vaccine mandates. I just wish that some wouldn't treat every single thing around COVID as a political issue.

The only reason you oppose vaccines is because you perceive them as a "lefty" cause. That's really it. If someone had told you a few years ago that we would have a pandemic, and that the medical community would come up w/ a vaccine within a year, you probably would have felt positively about that.

But it has become another Trump supporter thing - like the Big Lie - for which there isn't much rationality or reliance on science/facts.
 
As for "get out and live" - I don't let COVID hold me back. But we're going to keep getting resurgences like this, and it will probably keep mutating.

Which means it will still restrict us as a whole, and still have an effect on the economy.

I don't "oppose vaccines".

I do not want to be part of a science experiment by letting Big Pharma test a questionable drug in my body.

My body, my choice.
 
So what. People should have heeded the advice a year and a half ago to cut your own morbidities, get the flu, recover and get on with life.

They didn't.

And COVID keeps interfering w/ our lives. And it will continue to do so - no matter how committed we are as individuals to just ignore it.
 
And after 5 years worth of trials and experimenting, THEN ask (not demand) the public to take it. We're not supposed to be lab rats.

What if that gives the virus time to morph into something much more dangerous?

I've never heard that - what you just said. That we need to give a vaccine for a pandemic years & years.

A typical vaccine development timeline takes 5 to 10 years, and sometimes longer, to assess whether the vaccine is safe and efficacious in clinical trials, complete the regulatory approval processes, and manufacture sufficient quantity of vaccine doses for widespread distribution.

Let Big Pharma experiment on Y O U. I don't tell you what to do. Stop trying to tell me.

I don't tell people what to do. I oppose mandates. I say that I WISH people would do something - but I fully respect the right of people not to get vaxxed. 100%.
