Rudy is in deep kimchi both legally and financially. He's asked Trump to help him in the past and has been blown off. This, in turn, could result in Rudy rolling on Trump to save his own ass.

Giuliani struggling under massive legal bills after defending Trump
Rudy Giuliani is staring down hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal bills and sanctions amid numerous lawsuits in addition to the new criminal charges – related to his work for Donald Trump after the 2020 election.

In court on Monday, the former New York City mayor said the legal quagmires have left him effectively out of cash. He even appears to have responded to some of the money crunch by listing for sale a 3-bedroom Manhattan apartment he owns for $6.5 million.

Not including standard legal fees, Giuliani faces nearly $90,000 in sanctions from a judge in a defamation case, a $20,000 monthly fee to a company to host his electronic records, $15,000 or more for a search of his records, and even a $57,000 judgment against his company for unpaid phone bills.

“These are a lot of bills that he’s not paying,” Giuliani attorney Adam Katz told a New York state court on Wednesday. “I think this is very humbling for Mr. Giuliani.”...

...Giuliani is facing disbarment proceedings in DC and New York. His law license is already suspended – a situation his attorneys say leaves him further hampered from making money. And he is facing a personal lawsuit from an ex-employee filed in May, which he is contesting.

The criminal charges that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis brought against Trump, Giuliani and 17 others will undoubtedly add to the former mayor’s legal bills....

This is the point of the lawsuits.

To crush the republicans under legal bills and trials.

The left is evil and will use any means to destroy their enemies.

They did this with Sarah Palin also.

They filed 22 lawsuits against her in the space of three months and she effectively couldn't do her job and had to resign.

Once she did they dropped all the lawsuits.

Governors in Alaska are not entitled to government representation in legal issues, they need to pay for it out of pocket.

There's some paranoid thinking, Tink. Typical of Russians who are used to a corrupt justice system under tyrants and dictators, not Americans.

It's not paranoid it's what actually happened.

They filed a lawsuit against her saying she was favoring a corporation because she wore a snowmobile suit with the word Arctic Cat on it which is the name of the company.

It was ridiculous.

Every case that did go to court was dismissed but she still had to pay the legal fees and it became too much.

She left office and the cases were dropped by the DNC.

And mind you, this is after Obama had already won the election.

That's how much they hated her.

The DNC didn't even have a chapter in Alaska but they opened one up just to go after her. Their stated goal on their website which has since been deleted was to remove Palin from office.

Disagree. This isn't Mother Russia, dear.

I never heard of that case. Do you have a reference? Something reputable is preferred, but I'll take anything.

Yes, just like the legal cases agianst the Clintons. I get it.

Once again you are claiming the Democrats are stronger, smarter and more powerful than the Republicans, but, again, I disagree since both parties use such tactics.

FWIW, I blame Citizen's United for kicking this off. Guess which party supported that one, Tink?

I guess she shouldn’t have fired the head of public safety for not firing her brother-in-law, who was having custody battles with her sister.

Rudy has been mired in lawsuits and expensive lawyers for decades. However, Trump was supposed to pay lawyers. He has not. Trump lies to those who work for him.
Palin had TV programs and appearance money. She could pay her lawyers.

OMG

Right now, Trump is having to fleece his followers to pay for his legal expense, and his cash flow from followers appears to be ebbing, so Trump has got problems of his own. Giuliani who is a lawyer should have had enough commonsense not to get himself in this kind trouble.

Trump has spent 21 million on legal fees already.

Palin didn't have that money back then, that was only gained after she left office.

Here a bit more to add to your thread.

The sad irony of Fani Willis flipping the RICO statute on Rudy Giuliani

Now Giuliani will experience that potency from a very different vantage point. Of course, like all defendants, he is presumed innocent and is entitled to due process of law. There may be a temptation to gloat over the karma of Giuliani’s apparent comeuppance, but as a former prosecutor, I find it a sad day when hubris appears to overcome a lawyer’s sense of duty to the rule of law.

No she wasn't, that's how the left made her out to be.

You forget, comrade, I was a voting US citizen in that election. I witnessed her rise and fall.

The only reason why the Republicans nominated a woman was to counter the Democrats running an African-American. The Republican campaign was essentially doomed after 8 years of Bushism and the quagmire of Iraq....which is the only reason McCain got the nomination.

Notice all the other major Republican candidates bowed out early because candidates who win the nomination and fail are rarely run again. The 2008 election was the Democrat's election to lose. The Republicans were not only fighting an uphill battle but staring up at a cliff the size of Mount Thor.

Sarah Palin was nominated because she was attractive and had a vagina. It was equivalent to Hollywood stunt casting.
