I'm sorry, what was your point about the French and A/C again? I mean, I didn't quite follow you the first SEVEN times you brought it up, so maybe the next time will be the charm.

I guess your point is that the French aren't spoiled, thin-skinned little babies who need to be kept cool all summer, either that or they pay less in electricity each month than you or I do.

Can't afford it or just don't see it as necessary? When I first moved to Texas from up north, I used to sweat like a...well...a big fat guy!

But over the past decade I've acclimated nicely to the temperature and now I don't even need the A/C in my car during the summer.

Maybe a lifetime spent without A/C means they don't find it as necessary as us pampered Americans?

most french don't have it, that is the point.
I live in La and have lived in Texas, I'm not rich but I've never met someone without air conditioning in their homes.
I extreemly liberal socially but conservative fiscally, I think democrats are being mislead again down the path of Hillary care.
You may not have ac in your car, the overwhelming majority in Texas do.

My figures are from frenchaccountants.com for rates paid this year for 2008 earnings. I don't speak French so the gov. site or LeMonde didn't help. I saw the same numbers on several other sites, easy even for you. The taxes on married couples are also lower than ours because of a difference in the threshold, appr. 17,000 Euros.
Where are your "4X" numbers located?

Obviously you've never been there. The need for A/C isn't the same because the climate for most of the population is cooler. Paris is northern enough to be light late into the night in summer. Paris is 3 degrees farther north than Montreal. How important is A/C there? By the way, the same thing happened in the US within the last few years.
The rest of your diatribe requires translation. It sounds like you were against the Iraq War?
