I was a Catholic, I talk of myself as a reformed Catholic, it does not mean I am still a Catholic. He still identified himself as a Jew because he thought Jesus was the Messiah, fulfilling the prophecy of the Messiah. Jewish authority rejected Jesus as the Messiah, so if you believe in Jesus, you are not a Jew, you are a Christian because Jews reject Jesus. I know the distinction is lost on you.

We are not talking about "Jewish authority". We are talking about whether a Christian can be a Jew and vice versa. Scripture says we can.

Be careful when twisting scripture to fit your theology instead of learning what the scripture says. Don't let your indoctrination deceive you. Don't play with scripture. This is serious. Just sayin'.

You're still operating under the premise that "conversion" automatically means you are no longer a Jew. It never says that. Your mind tells you that. Read what it says and don't inject your personal belief into the scripture. Paul says he is a Hewbrew, an Israel, and a son of Abraham. Paul says Christians and Jews are sons of Abraham. You don't leave something behind when you become a Christian. That's where you make your mistake and many others along with you.
