I totally agree and it's going to be good for finance and accounting professionals. There needs to be a shit load more regs and oversite of these snake oil salesman on WS.
 
freak how do you think shareholders/stakeholders can get more say in outrageous pay packages. I remember England doing something or trying to before the recession and I've been for some action here for years. I don't care if my CEO makes 10 mill if the company and shareholders are all raking it in. But the game isn't close to pay for performace.

shareholders have all the say they need.... unfortunately the largest shareholders tend to be mutual funds and hedge funds that simply rubber stamp whatever the management wants to do. ESPECIALLY management of financial institutions. (kind of self serving)

As do board members who have plenty of shares, I think institutional changes are needed. or systemic changes not sure which is the right word but individual investors outside of the whales have zero voice.
