While technically that is excellent advice I mean you could also say:

Don't marry a person who would cheat on you.

Don't marry a person who would lie about you.

Don't marry a person who would divorce you.

Don't marry a person who would steal from you.

I'm sure most of us would like to think our spouses would never do any of those things either when you get married.
