Which is the point I was making about cotton mill workers they were slaves in all but name. If they lost their jobs or were evicted then they went to the workhouse where they really did become slaves with no rights at all.

The major diference tommy, and I'm sure this won't matter to you being a scientist and all and keeping that rat-raising research assistant on a short leash so it can work your icepuppet strings and keep you dancing but I think the one major difference, is that when you were a slave you were owned by someone else, you could be sold to another at any time, and a slave for life, when you went to the workhouse you could be released. Huge difference but you don't recognize it here because you aren't too bright about the difference between a plantation and a workhouse.

1/3 of them died just being transported here or captured!

Washington trying to assuage the guilt of white people and soothe their damaged egos in order to make his way to their collective pockets than anything resembling the truth about slavery or the South! So let's see that list of books.

You are stupid. There was no healthcare or retirement for slaves. Where do you get this fairytale horseshit. Elderly and disabled slaves who could no longer work were emancipated and left to starve.
