All horse shit of course. It was the south that fired on Fort Sumter wasn't it? They attached union troops. Was Lincoln supposed to just surrender right then? I bet you fucking rancid racists would have a field day with that. The South had how many years to end slavery on their own and had they? Was there any positive signs that they were going to end slavery. Why did they hate Lincoln? Any idea at all? They hated the man because he had campaigned on a platform to stop the spread of slavery, not to end slavery, but simply to stop the spread of it. So if they were going to end it in on their own why were they so upset about someone stopping the spread of it? Tell me that. Oh, poor Robert E Lee. Only the short sighted fail to see how difficult it was for those that had to own and beat other men.

Lee is not on trial. We are talking about the inhumanity of slavery. There is no point in rationalizing or claiming it was not really that bad. It was. You presented Lee as an example of a benevolent master that had a man savagely beaten so the neighbors would know he could handle his household. You're just a fool that completely fails to see what it demonstrates.

I went to Saigon a couple of years ago, me and the missus flew there from Bangkok via Air Asia. Crazy bloody place, the motorbikes are just insane. I went in the rainy season which is a good thing as the traffic has to slow down a bit and the humidity drops a little bit. I would go soon as it is rapidly changing and there will be wall to wall skyscraper hotels there before too long.

And notice in the story how his wife forced the slaves on him just like the apple in Eden. Poor Robert didn't want to beat those slaves; he never had slaves; he didn't even want slaves. It was all something the woman made him do! Isn't that the way it always is, I didn't want to speed officer but my wife made me do it.
