Its going to be interesting to see how the Kavanaugh appointment unfolds. It looks like a situation in which the GOP will lose no matter which way they go.

they've already decided she will testify........no win for you there......
first, if the nomination is delayed, we add Missouri at the very least.....that's three more GOP seats
second, if she testifies and voters don't believe her we win at least four....
third, if she testifies and he isn't confirmed whoever Trump nominates next (probably a woman that the left hates more than Kavanaugh) will be approved in December.........

I'm not seeing a win for left here.......

As far as I know the Senate has not decided if she will testify.
If her testimony is believable, Kavanaugh will never be confirmed
Then a new person would have to be selected, which will be well after the election. Its a matter of who holds the senate at that time.
 
What good economic news?

  • Slowest pace of job creation since 2017, which was the slowest since 2011
  • GDP growth inflated nearly a full point thanks to rushing to get exports out ahead of tariffs (portends bad GDP growth for Q3 and Q4 because of less demand)
  • 4 million people lost insurance
  • Premium increases this fall will be the highest since pre-ACA
  • Companies still outsourcing jobs (BMW, Harley, Carrier)
  • Deficit back to $1T

That's good economic news only if the bar is on the floor.

Why would delaying it help the GOP candidate in Missouri?

Kavanaugh has the lowest approval among any SCOTUS nominee since Harriet Miers.

If the GOP wanted to win elections, they would oppose his nomination.

Trump's approval rating is tanking in MO. At the beginning of the year, he had a 34% disapproval. Now, he's at 45% disapproval. That's a bad trend.

Don't be surprised when you wake up the day after Election Day and come to find out Democrats have been swept into power not only at the Federal level, but the State and Local level too. In fact, that's where the GOP's losses are going to be the most dramatic. Most people will pay attention to the House and Senate, but the real story on Election Day is going to be the shellacking the GOP is going to take at the state and local level.

And it's all because of Trump.

I will be surprised......because the president is not up for election, the Republicans will gain at least two seats in senate, the Dems won't take over the house......on the state and local level the dems don't even have candidates in my area.......everyone is running unopposed......the governor's race is the only one contested.......
