While I’m not a member of the Chris Christie fan club, I generally admired the New Jersey Governor’s no-nonsense attitude toward individuals who decided to ride out this storm on New Jersey’s barrier islands, imperiling themselves and the first responders who put themselves in harm’s way to rescue them.

This infuriated New Jersey's governor, who said their fate was the responsibility of elected officials who told them to shelter in the city.

“We want our residents to take every precaution to get out to town if they can,” Langford said on Sunday. “If they can’t or won’t, then at least go to a shelter.”

Christie described Langford’s stance this way: “He said he didn’t want his people leaving the city.”

Christie was on a number of morning shows to relay his analysis of Sandy’s effect on the Garden State.

He says he’ll go up in a helicopter to survey the damage at the Shore as soon as the winds die down and it’s safe...

I don't think Christie is motivated by racism.

He and the Black mayor don't get along well, for some reason.

He sure did!
