GOP senator says Special Olympics trump cuts will not be approved

Trump's budget cut Special Olympics, The Great Lakes protection and autism funding. Trump just said the opposite and now all is OK. Trump can do one thing and simply say the opposite and rightys buy it. Oh Trump budget cuts 270 out of 300 million for the Great Lakes. Yesterday he told the people in Michigan, that he was not cutting it at all. Well if Daffy says it, it has to be true.Of course the fact that it was in Michigan means nothing. He would never say one thing and do another. Not Trumpy.

Did you not read the second sentence of the post to which you are referring? Yes, people are suggesting that Congress does not constitutional powers to fund Special Olympics.

"Piss on posters who think the Congress does not have the right to subsidize the Special Olympics.

Libertarianism often borders on or crosses over into lawlessness."

why should I pay attention to the lies you post?.......

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), the chairman of the Senate Appropriations subcommittee that determines Department of Education funding levels, on Wednesday rejected the Trump administration's proposed cuts to the Special Olympics.

"I’m a longtime supporter of the Special Olympics and proud that Missouri is home to the largest Special Olympics training facility in the world," Blunt said in a statement.

"I was just at the World Games and saw, as I have many times before, what a huge impact the organization has on athletes, their families, and their communities. Our Department of Education appropriations bill will not cut funding for the program," he added.

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has come under fire recently for her agency's proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year, which includes $18 million in federal funding cuts to the Special Olympics.

DeVos has defended what she calls "difficult decisions," saying that while she supports the organization, it raises more than $100 million every year in private donations.

"Given our current budget realities, the federal government cannot fund every worthy program, particularly ones that enjoy robust support from private donations," she said Wednesday.

DeVos’s proposed 2020 budget would decrease overall funding for her department by 12 percent.

The budget proposal already had a slim chance of being approved by the Democrat-controlled House.

Trump has already caved like a bitch on that anyway.

As soon as he started feeling the heat from the backlash he fell apart.

I do not know if he caved. The cuts may still be in place. Trump just says the opposite. If he talks to another group, he might say he is for them. His voters do not care if he tells the truth or changes his mind. Trump is against pre existing conditions in healthcare and will take them away. But while he is doing that, he will say he is not and has the gretest healthcare plan ever. and will honor them. That is how Trump works. he continues on with the pan for a plutoctracy while telling the people he is on their side.
