Got their man

THANK GOD you are allowed to access it. I think it's just hard to NOT care about those who aren't as good a person as you are.

I can access it because I pay for it.
But then they are bad (*probably poor) so they should just suffer as necessary.

The poor are going to suffer regardless. They're poor for a reason and you can't buy your way out of lack of ability, stupidity, and everything else that makes poor people poor.
You've shown that it is possible to make it to adulthood and at least afford a computer all without benefit of any!

Well, most stupid people, like you, own phones that are smarter than them now so...
WHAT IT DID. Not what it is supposed to do. WHAT IT DID.

What it did was limit choice, increase bureaucratic bullshit, and raise costs. Under Obamacare, for example, you can only change your policy during a single "open season" of about 45 days once a year. Before Obamacare, you could cancel and get a new individual health insurance policy pretty much whenever you wanted. Before Obamacare, you could tailor your policy to your specific needs, now all Obamacare policies are "One size fits all" and the only choice you really get is in what your copay will be.
It allowed more Americans to get access to affordable healthcare. And that bothers you to no end. You would be happier if they just suffered.

No, it didn't. Almost the entire increase in people covered was by expanded Medicaid, not by people buying policies.
Studies (you know the things that prove the point) show that developed first world countries with single payer healthcare have per capita healthcare costs that are HALF of ours and they have AS GOOD OR BETTER life expectancy.

So? Those countries also rate lower, often far lower, in outcomes and in quality of care. In almost every rating system I've ever seen, the rating system used is based on how socialized the system is, not on its quality of care.
What IS known is the the INSURANCE companies DO actually add non-value layers of bureaucracy.

So does government. Obamacare is adding government bureaucracy to buying health insurance, and government bureaucracies are the least efficient and least cost-effective type of bureaucracy there is.
If you don't believe that you must be right fresh outta school and you've never had to deal with your insurance company. I wish you luck.

I've had to deal with government and private bureaucracies both. My insurers for various things--private corporations--answer promptly and usually resolve things within a few minutes. Their websites are navigable and can be done in minutes.
Government bureaucracies leave you hanging on hold for sometimes hours. Even when you get a service rep, they are a screener and you end up going through several frustrating layers of people to get a half-assed answer. For example, I had to try three times to get Social Security to take out federal (no state) taxes. I finally managed by filling out the necessary form, I finally found, then mailing it in certified mail, return receipt required. When I did that it only took the bureaucracy two months to start taking taxes out.
TSP? Same thing. NavPers? terrible. OPM? Forget getting through to them.
*Right now you may have the insurance card and think it will be covered, but you will be unpleasantly surprised everysooften. ;)

Never have been in over 30 years of coverage by the same provider.
LOL.

So? How does that stack up to quality and promptness of care?

Looks like it.

This is a weird one. It's a real indictment of our healthcare system that a man who was at the center of the healthcare issues many Americans face daily was gunned down in cold-blood in the street in broad daylight and we as a nation can't really feel "bad" about it.

Objectively it is a horrible thing. But clearly America's healthcare infrastucture and insurance systems are SO BELOVED that when a CEO responsible for a big chunk of it gets murdered many Americans shrugged and said "huh. Who cares?"

That's TERRIFYING.
authoritarians with no authority trend towards violence when they don't get everything they think they deserve

Ahhhh, so you think it's only the Left that would do anything unhinged like murder a healthcare professional?

Interesting claim. Especially given the body-count the religious right has racked up in terms of abortion doctors.
The left seems to use violence to solve their problems.

Speak for yourself.

I'd say it's an indictment of the people who don't feel bad about a cowardly assassination, but perhaps that's just me.

Wasn't Obamacare supposed to fix our healthcare system?
Were you in a coma during Obama's terms? The bill had lots of cuts and changes to get it passed. The hope was that it was a first step. Nobody said it fixed our system,.It was a first step an a terrible compromise. It did do a lot of good though. That is what Trump and the right want to kill it.

Thumbs up for the NYPD. They have caught their man. He was arrested in a Pa McDonald's A McDonald's employee recognized him and called the cops.

1. Had a Ghost Gun printed on 3D printer.
2. Had the fake New Jersey ID he used in the NY youth Hostile
3.Had a manifesto
4. Had a passport and multiple fake IDs
5. Had a mask like the killer wore
No link? Nice job on the Ghost Gun with silencer. LOL

I would venture that its a small taste of things to come.

It's a real indictment of our American Libs...that kill people they don't agree with
So only libs are getting screwed by the healthcare system? No right wing ideologue has ever commited a similar act of violence? Are you really this fucking stupid?

So? How does that stack up to quality and promptness of care?

Really? OH let's see here....

When I want to get in to see my GP I have to schedule out about 2 months. My wife needed a normal procedure and her doctor doesn't have any availability to do it for 8 months.

I have spent hours on the phone arguing with my insurance provider as to why they won't cover what they said they would cover. I've just gotten done spending a couple months fighting with my benefits manager to make sure they would allow me to have insurance as we moved from my wife's employer over to my employer.

And I'm impressed at how easily you can just blow off spending 2X as much for healthcare when life expectancy is actually LOWER than many countries with single payer.

It is almost as if FACTS DON'T MATTER TO YOU GUYS.

Cool story, if true.
