Yet you praised the Jan 6 terrorists.
This guy wanted to get caught. Why else would he be sitting in a McDonalds without a mask? If he were hiding, he would have gotten takeout.
Ironically, the worker who reported him might just want to get some sort of protection, or go into hiding. Social media is not being kind to the employee, or the rat infested location.
Actually this whole things is turning into a general indictment of American society. We find ourselves talking about the cold blooded murder of someone as if it was the act of a hero. Nothing could be further from the truth. The murderer was vile.
In this case the victim was also likely quite vile.
The real thing I hope we LEARN from this is NOT "Americans will kill you if they get mad enough and they will feel justified", but rather the corporations need to learn that it ISN'T "just business" when they do horrible things to people in the name of profit.
Too many times in this life we see American business people doing the most appalling things in service to the bottom line and then looking at the victim and shrugging saying "Hey, it's not personal, it's just business".
We ported that view over to HEALTHCARE as we turned healthcare into a FOR-PROFIT MONEY RAKING MACHINE. At that point it IS personal. It is about as personal as it can get.
The message the CEO's will be taking from this event though will be: "I need to get more body guards".
We're a broken people.
