Rape is about violence and power. She believed that because the guy was "put down" for so long that was his way of gaining some control.

Rather than her internalizing it she is seeing it from a bigger perspective.

For example, a person may be violently mugged. They end up in counseling or turn to drink/drugs because they believe they had something to do with it. They believe it happened to them because of something they did or that they deserved it. They internalize or personalize it.

That's when psychological problems arise. The person has to realize it wasn't personal. They were at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Whether the event in question had to do with "Whitey" or not the way she is handling it is psychologically beneficial.

They spent the night together. It's logical to conclude they had conversations or, at the least, he talked. She said, "It woke me up..." I was not implying they met before. They probably had conversations throughout the night which I stated.

i think you misjudged my intent here, please read my first post in this thread

maybe she is still in shock over the rape...i tread lightly on this as rape is horrific and i dare not judge someone harshly, especially, given the recency of the rape.

that said, i wholly disagree with her views, however, this could be a coping mechanism right now.

i don't judge her coping, however, i can and will disagree with her sentiments...imo, there is no excuse for rape, no reason for rape...i also highly doubt he talked philosophy with her...so i do question the whole rape because of whitey...

Its says right in the article she begged him for her life.

Any person who survives a violent attack has done some attacker acessment.

You learn alot about a person when you are trying to stay alive.

What you want is simple answers for everything and dont want to think about this whole incident in any depth.

You want to snap judge one little aspect of this story because it fits your political narrative.

You dont care about this victim or the crime you just want to see black people as bad adn violent.

Like someone said earlier Rape is a crime of power and humiliation.

I still say this woman knows far more about this man than maybe even the people in his life who THINK they know him.

She knows his darkest side.

Then by your assertion, every child, girl, or women knows her rapist better then anyone else; because they had such a personal relationship.
