President Biden commemorated Slavery Remembrance Day on Saturday, saying in a statement that “great nations don’t hide from their history.”

“Today is a day to reflect on the terrible toll of slavery, and on our nation’s profound ability to heal and emerge stronger. Despite the horrors they faced, these men and women and their descendants have made countless contributions to the building of this nation and the continuous effort to realize the American ideal,” Biden said.

The president said he was “honored” to sign legislation last year making Juneteenth, which marks the day the last enslaved African Americans were told slavery had ended and the Civil War was no more, a federal holiday.

Well here is something....I have been doing a fair amount of work on my Oasis over the last few years....upgrades and maintenance....I have been very interested to see that the best contractors have been all Mexican, and the two that flat out conned me were all American boys. I am reminded of Anthony Bourdain saying that he would never even consider hiring an American born dishwasher.

Thats what he said.....he wanted dishwashers who had the interest and the drive to pay attention and step up to help around the kitchen so that they could learn to be great cooks....American born all too often were just fine only washing dishes, and to make it even worse tended to put their mind to work on the project of figuring out how to do the least amount of work required to get by.

This commemoration will do NOTHING WHATSOEVER to help those that suffered under slavery.
NOTHING.
All it does is allow a bunch of 'white' losers to run around and say 'look how great I am. I support this date that will help the victims of slavery not in the slightest.'

It's like those 'white' people that freaked out during BLM marches or riots.
Like by doing so - they are 'special'.
