Greenpeace is done

The federal courts just slapped a $660 million-dollar civil penalty on Greenpeace for damages either they did, funded people to do, or were otherwise complicit in over the Dakota Access (aka Keystone) pipeline. Civil disobedience of the sort the Left loves to pull should cost, and in this case it did. Greenpeace is likely to have to declare bankruptcy and go away as an organization.

The radical Left and environmental Left is in panic mode over this 'disaster' to one of their flagship organizations.

I've never given a dime to Greenpeace, I don't think they are really considered a very effective environmental group.

My donations to environmental activists have gone to Nature Conservancy and Sierra Club.

Greenpeace is an international organization, headquartered in the Netherlands. There is no way for an American company to force them to go bankrupt.

They might be able to make Greenpeace USA to go bankrupt, at which time they would simply restructure, and go on. Even if a restructuring was not allowed, they would simply incorporate a new organization, a Greenpeace USA v2.0.

The rich and powerful keep trying to sue movements out of existence... The world does not work that way.

Good. Now let's see the militias and other groups that attacked the Capitol be slapped down likewise.

Ok. I was talking about Greenpeace. Any more clarifications you need?
Thank you. You clarification is appreciated.

I agree that Greenpeace won't be vanishing because scams never go away; they always reappear in somewhat superficially different forms.
