Group ends Mich. recall effort after Wis. results

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A group seeking to recall Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder says it's ending the effort following Gov. Scott Walker's victory in Wisconsin's recall election.

The group called Michigan Rising announced Thursday it would stop collecting signatures, noting that it was short of its goals. Instead, the group says it will focus on a long-term effort to form a progressive think tank, develop progressive leaders and support current progressive legislators.

The group says results in Wisconsin made it clear how difficult it would be to recall Snyder, a Republican.

awe shucks

the basis:

the dems were likely cry babies.

j/k

in all seriousness....i think they thought WI would be a win and so would follow suit. elections only have consequences when a dem wins to some liberals. hopefully, people can calm down, get civilized and not be so ridiculous about elections.

What the fuck was their basis for a recall? Snyder won by a pretty large margin if I remember correctly.

not only that but he's gotten a balanced budget approved in record time both years since elected.....while cutting taxes (well, except for making people start paying taxes on their pensions)........
