Has Trump ever changed a tire, gone to a livestock show, taken his kids to the county fair?

UC Hasting, which recently became UCSF, is not even one of the top two law schools in the San Francisco area. Berkley and Stanford have much better law schools.

It is in 82nd place. There are 9 higher ranked law schools in California alone. It is considered a good law school, but certainly not the elite of the elite.
I wonder why MAGA morons are so desperate to claim Kamala grew up wealthy, had butlers and maids, and went to an 'elite' law school. And I wonder why Tim Walz's biography bothers them so much, I mean this thread is approaching 400 comments.

Someone please pat Cypress on the head and telling him he did a good job with the thread....perhaps one of those very special PMs...

Both my parents were college professors. They are quite upper middle class. They are not wealthy.

Bet they were to most of your friends.

She studied hormones effects on breast cancer. It is the precursor knowledge to drugs that is essential, but does not actually give patents. There is no need to pay her for her discoveries, because they are in her research papers.

ROFL

If you could link a patent to her, then she might have been rich. You have not.

I'm sure there are dozens she was involved in.

Professors are getting low six figure salaries.

Complete bullshit.

Base salary is a red herring to distract the stupid,

At Triple A schools, total compensation for tenured professors - including stipends, housing allowance (yes, they often buy homes for professors), travel expense, food allowance, etc. is generally greater than $500,000 per year.

{
The highest-paid HBS professor in 2021 was V.G. Narayanan, a professor of managerial accounting and chair of the MBA elective curriculum. His compensation? A whopping $858,425, about $90,000 less than the dean.

The highest-paid female faculty member was Janice Hammond, a professor of manufacturing and the senior associate dean for culture and community. She pulled down $833,393. Not far behind her was Linda A. Hill, chair of the school’s leadership initiative, who made $829,843.

A YEAR EARLIER, TWO FACULTY MEMBERS HAD REPORTED COMPENSATION EXCEEDING $1 MILLION

Nitin Nohria, who stepped down as dean at the end of 2020, earned $825,732}

You're picking the creme de la creme, a few people at the top of the food chain at the most elite school(s). They are the exception. That is far from the norm.

As far as travel expenses and food allowance that's any business right? Few businesses make their employees pay for the travel required for their work. And there's little better than going out in the evening on a business expense account. Universities paying for professors to travel as part of their job/research is hardly unique but no one is going to count that as income. Professors don't pocket that money.

They have a story, and they will not let reality alter that story.

The weird thing is Harris probably fit in to school better than the very rich people. It was the environment she grew up in.

I think trump felt very alienated in school. he talks about getting revenge on the educated. I think they heard his nonsense, and mocked him.

Bet they were to most of your friends.
You clearly do not know how academia works. Professors have high social status, but not as high of economic status. The son of two college professors would expect to be the poorest in his social circle, and that is what I was. My girlfriend would drive me to my under the table, below minimum wage job, in a brand new completely decked out BMW.

When applied, her long term research almost certainly contributed to hundreds, if not thousands of patents. And she received nothing for that. She published her research, so it was accessible to all of humanity.

Academia is this weird parallel universe where money does not matter. It is hard to explain to someone who has no experience with it.

Remember - the 6 figure tuition universities charge taxpayers for students go to pay the 7 figure salaries of professors and administrators.

So the highest paid professor at the highest paying school, gets a high six figure compensation... That means there are no professors making a 7 figure salary like you claimed.

A more average salary would be less than 200,000... Much less. I would not be surprised if Harris' mother never made more than $150k.

You're so desperate to try and reinvent Kam-Kam from the poor little rich girl she was.

You've failed, Comrade.

I have said, repeatedly, upper middle class. Even when her parents income was technically only middle class, her parents social status made her de facto upper middle class.

It is very similar to how I grew up.

^^ Not a credible link.

None of your examples are seven figure salaries, which was your original claim.

You have pivoted from salary to total compensation. My total compensation in my career was probably well over $300k per year, but my disposable income, primarily from salary, made me middle class.

You are citing the salaries of Deans. Mama Harris was never a Dean. Deans and college football coaches get paid more because they are administrators.

You failed to account for inflation. The time period you were writing about was the 1970s when Kamala was a child. There isn't the slightest chance Mama Harris was making a seven figure salary in the 1970s, because you can't even find a college professor in 2024 making a seven figure salary.

Why do you want people to follow a script, Top? Isn't that what you are always whining about? Your paranoia that others are talking ill of you because you always do the same? Guilt is often seen in drunks. Either they drink and blame others for their "bad luck" or they blame themselves. Most often weak people tend to blame others since it's easier and takes less thinking.
