Have you ever seen a poor peasant woman trying to attack a jet fighter plane with nothing but a rock and a stick? She didn't give one hoot about any politics, whether left or right or anything to do with war except that she didn't want that jet continuing to destroy her house, killing her and her family and creating what she personally deemed as over nothing at all? I've seen that and suffered from those memories for decades. Most people directly affected by warfare have no knowledge or care about the reasons for it all. They simply want it to stop hurting them. Do you understand or will it take foreign jets overflying the US dropping bombs and shooting at you before you do? Let's keep it over there so it doesn't come here is the mantra of only fools. I just needed to say that.

America is the leading player in the killing in the Middle East and elsewhere. Somewhere, a Muslim may be posting these words in Arabic: "I don't want to be at war with America. Maybe the woman in your example and people like her will realize it doesnt make sense to have terrorists in charge of her country and she and others could rise against them instead of fleeing to germany.
Millions of Americans that never had a bad word to say about Islam and its ideals now hate Islamic terrorism with every ounce of their bodies. All they know about it is death and destruction of them and they dont know why.

Why are Americans interfering in the internal affairs of other nations?

it's perfectly valid to go after terrorists. there was a meeting in the Yemen desert last year, and we droned a bunch to hell.
But we knew the target, and it wasn't guesswork (signature strikes)

I think it's perfectly valid to go after terrorists in our own country only because one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
I'd prefer a declaration of war, or an update on the old AUMF Obama asked for -but do you know who/what AQAP is right? the shoe bomber,
sophisticated guys who can make clothing explosive (and sending such to Syria) and targeting the west as well.
So this is a threat matrix. droning TTP Taliban in Pakistan - no so much. going after AQ in Afgh -valid.
The trouble is the CIA still does the targeting, and the military just pilots the drones.
It's gptta come out of the clandestine venue, so better real targeting is done, and signature strikes aren't used.
Indeed better discussion of what real threats are is needed. we need to better open up evaluations of who are just locals
and whom are international threats
