ya. dumb Mass. chowder head.. long war is what it is - a defense of the democracies from asymmetrical attack.
Not everything has to be wars/drones -intelligence/disrupting financial networks, propaganda wars is all part of it.

But it IS a war, and it's against Salfi jihadism almost exclusively .and it is generational at least.

Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria - same non-declaration of war. A bit different then Libya's "kinetic military action" which wasn't even authorized by an AUMF- because Obama chose to use it as a simple military deployment. But same non-declaration of war.

The "two for one" is a result of indiscriminate killings -surely you know what signature strikes are
and how repulsive it is to use as targeting.

Hitting high value targets does impeded ISIS, and AQ. Like it's been discussed many times here
the targeting is the measure of the success/failure, as well as the reduction of "collateral damage"
which is all the same tactics/goals.

why did Brennan say more attacks are likely? :rolleyes:

Syrian foreign fighters are leaking out thru Turkey ( more a European problem)
and the allure of coming to Syria/Iraq for jihad is decreasing because of the rollbacks of Daesh by the "coalition"

Connect the dots..= less foreign fighters because Daesh is getting pounded.
Pounding Daesh and AQ has benefits, as opposed to not hitting them like Obama did not while the crossed into Iraq
and glommed up territory.
