Healthcare

I hear great things about Singapore.....a Sailing Youtuber who had some actual problems said that they spent in Singapore full price the kind of money that would have been their deducible in America, and that they did in 8 weeks what would generally take a year because of the getting permissions and wait times here.

The British NHS? Are you fucking kidding me? The NHS ranks 7th in the World for number of employees at 1.38 million. It is driving the UK into bankruptcy.

Shit healthcare system impoverishing the nation is a major problem in America as well.

Singapore has its pluses, and minuses. It is close to a dictatorship in many ways. Social behavior is closely regulated for example.

You conservatives adore your fantasies almost as much as the illiberal WOKE much of the time....that is a dirty little secret that is too rarely told.
You can't distinguish between healthcare and health insurance.

We have excellent doctors, hospitals, and providers. What we don't have is a reasonable and efficient way to pay for those services. Two different issues. The Left--supposedly you--conflates those two things as if they were one and the same. They aren't.

"A few years of tariffs and America will be good as new, Americans are the Can Do People!!"
Trump.

No.

Your advanced state of brainwashing prevents you from understanding that governments are supposed to spend the people's money on the people.

No, governments are supposed to run their countries and deal with other countries. People living there should:

A. Take care of themselves and not rely on government to do that.
and
B. Take care of their neighbors and not rely on government to do that.

The U.S. has the highest per capita health expenditure among OECD countries, spending $12,555 per person in 2022, the latest year for which figures have been compiled.

This is more than $4,000 more than the average spent in other high-income countries, which is about half of the U.S. amount.

That's even significantly higher than in Switzerland, the country with the second highest per capita health expenditure.

Many health technologies wouldn’t be developed in the first place unless the U.S. government reimbursed developers for them.

Other nations are accessing those fully-developed therapies at a much lower cost after the U.S. taxpayer foots the bill.

Wealthy countries like Germany, etc, could start sharing the burden of research and development.

Why don't they?
and most of it is pissed away in graft and corruption.
