An all out prohibition on Abortion, the war on drugs, a ban on gay marriage, the establishment of a "Christian Nation", promoting God in the pledge of alegence, Promoting God on money, Promoting prayer in schools, Exporting Democracy to Iraq, fighting pornography, assisted suicide, and banning the use of medical marijuana are all causes championed by the CONSERVATIVE that are not about freedom, indiciduality or personal choice....

Great, but since I champion NONE of those view points, nor do I espouse being a conservative, I fail to see what you've refuted or proved.

People are at the base Good and want was is best for themselves and others.

Corporations are at the base interested in what will make more money, good bad or indifferent.

People need less control, Corporations need more!

so for example, health care reform should NOT have a provision fining people for not having health insurance?.....or, the government should not have laws requiring everyone to recognize a gay marriage as legally binding?.....that nobody should be allowed to pray in schools or say Merry Christmas in stores?........"liberalism" stands for requiring everyone to act the same way.......that's it's essence.....

1. Requireing that everyone have health insurance results in more freedom for society because we as a culture are unwilling to allow the uninsured die in the streets.

2. There are not and will not be laws requireing individuals to reconize gay marriage, however the government should allow more freedom by extending that option to this huge segment of our society.

3. Noone is prohibited from praying in school, that is a lie!

4. No, Liberalism stands for giving freedom to people to be who they are, including gays for example!

We don't have insured people dying in the streets right now. A person on the streets is going to the emergency room whether they have insurance or not. Maybe you live in some plush Florida suburb away from the real world but I can tell you in a city like San Francisco we spend millions annually on taking drunks and drug users repeatedly to the emergency room for treatment. There are examples of folks using the ambulance well over 100 times a year to get taken to the hospital. And you think forcing them to buy insurance is going to change their lot in life?

While jacking up the health care costs and further burdening future generations with unsustainable debt increases.

Exactly Caw... and as a result everyone is paying extra for healthcare and other taxes to care for these people we do not let die on the streets, so by requireing that everyone have a base of insurance... we are achually giving people more freedom by saving all people money!

Conservatives regulate individuals more, Liberals regulate business more.

If the Conservatives would get out of religen, the bedroom and the flag id be more inclined to seriously consider voting for some of them.

Agree, his position is not mine, but better than that of GWB.
