He's guilty

With this, we lose the moral high ground, at least from my secular perspective. Biblical concepts of guilt and punishment are pigshit to me.
I never believed that capital punishment is a deterrent, notwithstanding the claims of the govt..

However, if a murderer knew that he might suffer the exact punishment that he/she doled out, it might just dissuade them from murdering.

Probably not, but you never know.

There is nothing about our society that is 'moral', unfortunately. Our society has more criminals than those with heinous punishments for crime. Go figure.

IMHO the thing that most likely convicted him was the video with the one cop telling him they should let him up and him insisting he was "staying right where he is" then later when that same cop said that he could find no pulse and his answer "uh huh"... 3 more minutes of kneeling... and the paramedics still had to nudge him so they could access him to provide what help they could, unfortunately he was already dead.

Which cops?

The three that were with Chauvin? They didn't try to do the right thing...those were the bystanders and off-duty people.

The three of Chauvin's accomplices were preventing people from treating Floyd.

If they weren't, then they would have been Prosecution witnesses.
They probably weren't allowed to be witnesses because they have their own trials coming up.

They were de facto witnesses though. The prosecution used the audio from their comments to illustrate just how depraved Chauvin is.

One asked twice about rolling him on his side. That alone would have saved his life. One of them checked for a pulse, and told Chauvin that there is none.

Chauvin wasn't interested. They will both argue that they were following the senior officer's lead.

Unlike your favorite sources, CNN covered the trial live, his comments were part of the trial as it was shown on CNN, so once again your lack of knowledge exposes itself
Correct. Because he followed with 'the jurors were given instruction not to watch the news. I believe they obeyed that instruction'

I understand the meaning of a mistrial. There was no way that Judge was going to declare a mistrial with tensions the way they are. The new way of American law.
To clarify...you don't think Chauvin caused Floyd's death?

Leprosy, how did you come up with this conclusion?????????????????
That's the pertinent issue here. There were just as many talking heads on t.v. making that bogus claim as those like Maxine Waters. It could be argued that the jury was inundated with misinformation.

Most of it coming from Nelson's mouth. The prosecution was masterful at getting the defense witnesses to admit the truth about cause of death.

I am certain that played a significant role in this trial. There is a very real chance this verdict will be overturned or thrown out on appeal. I am not saying it should but democrat politicians have opened that door wide open.
Nope. Not a chance.

There is simply no way that Maxine Waters gave grounds for a mistrial.

None.

There will be an appeal Legion. Judges do not make comments like that in public unless they know there is a avenue for it.
Not true. No appeals court will hear this case.

The judge did not say that there should be an appeal. He simply stated that a mistrial was NOT going to happen, and that Nelson can attempt to address the Waters issue on appeal.

He said that about a number of issues. Nelson lied to the jury when he told them that the prosecution must show beyond a shadow of a doubt that Floyd didn't die from underlying causes.

That's a lie. When the prosecution called it a 'story', Nelson starting whining about a mistrial.

Time will tell. It will be funny as hell though if Maxine Waters and democrats are the reason Gauvin goes free.
Not sure about what sentence will be handed down. If your claims about the judge are true, then he can obstruct true justice with his sentences.

Other than that, Chauvin will never see the light of day.

No, hes not guilty. The jurors didnt want to die burning in their beds. Went 3 for 3 just to make sure they lived.

When they appeal and get tge change of venue that there should have been, he walks.
LOL. Still think that Pence is going to overturn Biden's win?

I'm not shocked you are way off. Its typical for you. I predicted 3rd degree murder but I didn't watch the trial . Maxine Waters and her fat mouth has set up an appeal for Chauvin. The politicians should have shut up and stop the virtue signaling. Its OK to voice an opinion AFTER the verdict but not before it.
