'He's Just A Bad Guy'

A Manhattan judge Thursday called Donald Trump “just a bad guy” in a scathing rebuke to a lawyer arguing that the former president was being unfairly singled out for investigation by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

At the end of the hearing, state Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron ordered Trump — along with his daughter Ivanka Trump and son Donald Trump Jr. — to comply with subpoenas and testify under oath in a civil investigation launched by James into suspicious Trump Organization business practices.

don't you just love impartial justice?.....

That's all very well but Trump is still a bad guy. Compulsive liar, self-serving cheat, massive egoist, ignoramus. What's good about that?

I know, you think he'll save you from the evil wossnames.

There's lots of bad people out there that don't commit crimes or get caught doing it. They're still assholes, though.

I.E. Greedy business practices..all legal.

That was a pretty stupid thing for the judge to do, as it sets the stage for an immediate appeal if the verdict rendered is unfavorable to Trump...

I thought so too at first, till I read the article. You have to see what he was saying in context. He wasn't saying that HE believes that Trump is a bad guy; he was paraphrasing the thoughts of the state attorney general. The lead-up was the contention by Trump's attorney that he was the victim of discrimination due to his ____.

From the OP link:

"The judge and his clerk pointed out that protected classes include race, religion and sex.

"“Donald Trump doesn’t fit that model,” Engoron flatly declared. “He’s not being discriminated against based on race, is he? Or religion, is he? He’s not a protected class,” the judge added.

"“If Ms. James has a thing against him, OK, that’s not in my understanding [of] unlawful discrimination. He’s just a bad guy she should go after as the chief law enforcement officer of the state.

I saw that, but I still think his comment was ill-advised...

I would agree that it is better that judges speak in the stern measured words of the court and not colloquially as this guy did.

I'd be very interested in finding out if this conversation was actually recorded by the court reporter, or was just repeated by someone who then told someone else.

I didn't say it was evil but until you can bring another coin to the table you're just a load of fucking hot air. You don't seem any more successful at "saving" America, wind bag.

tell us why you NEVER vote Libertarian??? there are several other options there.........but you seem to think they are not viable. why?????
