Hey Cypress You Goin?

You know what's wierd?

When I had Tom Delay in my avatar, no one accused me of being a NeoCon. But having Che there, automatically makes me a communist!

:cof1:

so you are mocking che in a tounge in cheek manner just like delay? Is that what you are implying cypress?

Looks like a blast. All your pals will be there.

Cuba pays tribute to Che Guevara

Ernesto Che Guevara would have been nearly 80 today had he lived
The memory of Latin American Marxist revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara is being honoured in Cuba 40 years after his capture and summary execution.

Raul Castro, brother of ailing Cuban leader Fidel, is at the event. The ceremony in Santa Clara opened with Raul Castro reading out a message from Fidel. "I halt in my day-to-day combat to bow my head, with respect and gratitude, before the exceptional fighter who fell 40 years ago," the message said.

In Venezuela, President Hugo Chavez described Che as an "infinite revolutionary" in a speech on TV just before the anniversary.

LOL!!! I was reading the paper at the gym this morning and they had this story on the front page of the LA Times and my first thought was the same, will Cypress go?

Shit, I'd go. Cuba is a freaking awesome, incredible experience. As a matter of fact, I almost went this week, but I had a scheduling conflict. No joke.

I might be going this summer. :dunno:

If you can, do it. Its not always going to be this way. Once it opens up, it'll be no different than going to Cancun. But until then its a whole other planet. The women... They're gorgeous and very, very friendly. They'll take your V-card.

It's pretty easy to hide your tracks there. This insane embargo needs to end though, for serious. 40 years. And what was it for? Guess what. Fidel nationalized some industries. He didn't "steal" anything - he paid back the companies in Cuba at the drastically deflated prices THEY HAD REPORTED to the Cuban government in order to not pay taxes. It was a proper move, IMHO. The embargo was just an example of cowboy politics. Had we not have put it in place Cuba wouldn't have ever been forced to go into communism by us.

Beefy, all of the Cuban Americans I've ever seen have been jaw-dropping, literally the hottest women in the entire tri-county area. I'm pretty sure that would be an interesting experience.

Lmao. Fuck the travel ban.

Damned rightt. That travel ban is fucking lame. Its not even technically a "travel" ban, but a ban on spending money in Cuba. Its illegal for a US Citizen to spend money over there. What the fuck is that? When I'm out of this country, they've got no jurisdiction on me.

When I went in 2003, the main currency over there was the US dollar, but I guess now you have to convert to Euros in Mexico City or Cancun. But still, very, very wothwhile.

In Havana its like being a rock star, no joke. They're all really really cool, fun chicks, and they dig fat bastards from America. You'll love it.

Where you live, though, the tri-county area contains about 10 million people.

Where I live, it contains about 15,000. It's a bit more useful a reference here.

I don't live here, I'm only staying here until the 17th. Then its off to the islands.
